mp3's used as ringtones have to be under .5 mb on mine. If I try to set a mp3 bigger than that then the phone say's "file too big". Also make sure you put the file in the "my music" folder on the phone. All my mp3 ringtones are in this folder and it gives me the option to set as ringtone. You can use a mp3 editor to get the file under .5mb.

when I cut my .mp3 down to under .5 and then drag and drop it to my "my music" folder then the option to apply as ringtone or callertone activates. But then once setting it when people call no sound is played....why is this happening or how can I get my files to be played as ringtones. Please help. thank you. --john

Use the samsung phone tools and save your mp3 clips in .3gp format. This should do the trick and you really won't have to worry about the size. Give that a try.
