I bought a third party usb cable and software, and I can tell you it does not work. At first, it didn't even recognize that a phone was conncected, so I searcehd the web and found the driver for this phone. Once I installed that and reinstalled the driver thru the device manager, it lists it as "other cdma modem". I cannot get it to communicate with the software at all. So i cannot manage my contacts on my pc. However, if you're wanting the data cable for music, pics and videos, you can buy the 1gb Micro SD card along with a card reader. Some of them come with an SD adapter, which is good if your computer already has the slot, but mine did not, so I bought the Micro card reader which simply plugs into the USB port. I now easily manager my music, pics and videos. You have to format the card in your phone and that creastes 3 directories, My Music, My Videos and My pictures. Then you simply drag and drop music into the appropriate folder and you're good to go. Back to the cable. I have tried everything I can think of, but no go. It was a waste of money.
