Samsung SCH-A645

I recently bought this phone from TELUS (in Canada, that is the main provider that isn't listed here). I was going to buy some ringtones but noticied two problems 1. $3.50 is a rip, and 2. They don't have the ones I'm looking for.

So I downloaded some MP3s (really, it was legal, if you can believe that) and then used Create Ringtone to convert them to MP3s, which I host on my site (zentec.ath.cx) and I will open the file, put it loads a little box that says 'object' with a weird in-half symbol on the right of it and at the top (below the status bar) is a little image that I can't make out.

However, I can play MIDI files fine, it's just a blank box without the word 'object' and the image isn't in half, it has a little blue/green line by it. There is that weird image on the top of well. It will play fine, but how do I save? Unlike my Nokia it doesn't say "Ringtone Recieved". Is TELUS blocking me from downloading free ringtones?

Aswell, I found out I can convert the MP3s to QCP which will do the same as MIDI except save.

I have read my documentation, checked SAMSUNG and TELUS, and Googled for it but no avail. Thanks for your help.
