jesus people, relax!
1) Its all cyclical... 2 years ago, I worked at Verizon, and EVERYONE on here was biatching about how our phones were sucky compared to sprint.. now its the other way round.
2) this is an ENTRY LEVEL phone.. the people who are thinking of buying it are very impressed by the look and design of this phone, I sell it all day long over the a560, 2300 and HORRENDOUS motorola 290

Some folks on Sprint Users who work for Sprint, as well as pcsintel still claim that it is cancelled. I am having doubts...It was just BT Qualified and is now showing up again on the upcomming phones list (August).

The a960 was the same way. Went away from the list, presumably cancelled, only to be released as a Best Buy exclusive.

Actually, if you knew anything about the cell phones, you'd know that Sprint actually has the best phones overall. Sprints direction is there tangible products, they don't have good broad cell coverage like verizon, therefore they focus on better equipment.

Sanyo was awarded JD Power $ Assoc. award for best phone in 2004 and maybe 2005. Who has Sanyo? Sprint and now ESPN. Enough said. I worked at Sprint and my dream is to get a Sprint phone with verizon coverage.

Sidenote: Something you may not know, Samsung, Motorola & others will come out with "alledgedly" the same phone with two different companies and the phone will be significantly better with Sprint. I've seen it, I've lived it.

I think it usually goes in cycles. Like someone else said in this thread... Sprint had the coolest phones a couple years ago, and I think they will again soon. The merger with Nextel has probably taken a lot of their energies. New phones are coming soon!
