Voicemail and Text Message Icon
i recently purchased an unlocked version of the Rizr and have been using it with my TMobile service. Each time I call my voicemail or receive a voicemail I get a text message with a couple of symbols. I can live with getting a text message each time I receive a voicemail but its pretty annoying to get one each time i check my voicemail. I called tmobile and they turned off some feature but now when i get a voicemail i dont receive any type of notification. anyone having the same issues and found a solution yet? can i have tmobile load their software onto my phone?

Hey, I just got off the phone w/ T-Mobile. It's because you did not buy a T-Mobile phone. Mine is an unlocked Vodaphone and does the same thing. There tech manuals describe exactly what it's doing and say it's normal if you bought it unlocked or direct from the manufacturer.
I guess Motorola would be the next place to look for an answer.

That is a well known issue when Tmobile upgraded their voicmail system. When they did that, anyone that had an unlocked V600 years ago had that show up on their phone instead of the vmail icon.
It can be corrected by doing seem editing. However to do seem editing, you'd need a USB plug and a few free softwares that can be found online.
