Am I the only one NOT having any issues with the new unlocked version?? I have it all working and even found a clip on hard plastic case for it from ebay. Will protect the glass front and keep the yucky finger prints off. THO I do like my 6682 the best. The Krzr looks pretty neat and does get people's attention. Now hope I didn't jinx myself with this report.

When you refer to the "new" unlocked version, do you mean the USDM version that's now available at Motorola?

Since I got it unlocked before Cingular picked it up I just assumed "unlocked" was the International version. How can you tell? Box does say packed in E.U. but does that really mean anything? Manual is all English..haha. I have no idea the answer to your question. Sorry. Just that it works here in US.

What clear answer? Which is it, is a USDM phone or if there are any issues? My answer to "issues" which is the original question is No, not yet that I am aware of. Had to set the browser settings to Cingular manually. Took a bit cos some of the answers to browser settings didn't work for my phone. Very confusing. Yea I am blonde...no jokes..LOL.

I bought the unlocked USDM version from Motorola direct sales.

Absolutely no issues whatsoever.

You can get the Internet and MMS settings two different ways:

1. The phone from Motorola insluces the SETUP programme in the Java applications.
2. You can go to your Cingular account, set your phone to V3i, and then go to Support and get the OTA pushes of all settings sent directly to the phone.

Both ways work perfectly.

The K1's great. It addresses any quibbles and foibles you might have had about the V3i while maintaining the excellent RF signal capture. ๐Ÿ™‚

I have Cingular now and am using a V3. If I buy the unlocked phone from Motorola will I be able to use it? Do I just have to switch the little sim card in the back?

I use the Nokia 6682 and SE 520 and the new Krzr K1, and just take the same sim card and switch between phones. It is all Cingular. Just when you get unlocked phones you will have to manually configure the settings for browser and MMS. Mine works fine.
