I can try and add some input. My contract w/ VZW is up in 20 days so I figured to try Cingular and compare the two services using the same phones. So far the in-call volume is louder on the K1m, but I think there is a hack that can turn things up in the K1? On the other end people tell me I sound the same on both phones.
A big difference is the battery life- I get about 3-3.5 hrs talk on the K1m, haven't run out the K1 yet but if you look at the reviews the battery in the K1 lasts far longer- CNET got 9 hours talk time.
I also prefer the Moto interface over the VZW one (if you don't have VZW, not an issue for you). Signal strength has been nearly identical so far, I usually have the 2 phones side by side when I drive around or am in ...
