Downloading phonebook from KRZR to Kenwood KDC-W5534U

Hi

I can connect my Motorola KRZR K1 to the bluetooth enabled Kenwood head unit FDC-W5534U (this has the optional Bluetooth KCA-BT 100 adaptor).

However, I just cannot get the phone / head unit to send the phonebook data. I can receive calls OK and it displays the incoming phone number, it would just be nice to finish the job off and get the person's name to display.

Anybody got any suggestions? I have tried sending the phonebook data from the Sim card and from storage on the phone, but with no success.

Thanks.

Adrian

Oh, by the way, the Kenwood head unit and the KRZR are fantastic, despite this annoying problem.

OK - I have figured out how to do this successfully.

You need to connect to the head unit as normal.

Then, on the phone go to the Settings menu.
Go to the car settings.
Change the Auto Answer setting to OFF
Change the Auto Handsfree to OFF

Now all you need to do is go to your address book.
Select the name of a person you want to send to the head unit. Select Options - Send Contact - Bluetooth

This should then connect and the job is done.
There may be a way of sending the whole contact list, but I have not found it yet.

Cheers

Adrian
