Swapping keypad - does it void the warranty?
I like the black k1m krzr from Verizon, but the reflectiveness of the silver keypad really irritates my eyes. I found a k1m black keypad on the Cellular Nationwide Network web site (they sell parts for cell phones). If I swap the silver for the black keypad, does that void the warranty? I suppose if I needed to take it in for service at Verizon I could just put the silver keypad back in. Is there any way the Verizon folks would know that I had switched the keypads around? to remove the keypad you'd need to peel off the white sticker underneath the battery and i don't think you'll be able to get it to stick the way it is now.

Many thanks for your reply. Why would you need to remove a sticker beneath the battery to change the key pad? Couldn't you just use a pencil eraser or something to pop it off the front and then lay the new one in? The one on the web site has a bunch of tabs around it so if you got it in the phone it looks like it would be secure. Hard to know for sure though, and you're right - a loose keypad would be annoying as hell.
