Swapping keypad - does it void the warranty?

I like the black k1m krzr from Verizon, but the reflectiveness of the silver keypad really irritates my eyes. I found a k1m black keypad on the Cellular Nationwide Network web site (they sell parts for cell phones). If I swap the silver for the black keypad, does that void the warranty? I suppose if I needed to take it in for service at Verizon I could just put the silver keypad back in. Is there any way the Verizon folks would know that I had switched the keypads around? Many thanks for any advice.

to remove the keypad you'd need to peel off the white sticker underneath the battery and i don't think you'll be able to get it to stick the way it is now.

plus the new keypad will probably be loose and that will annoy the crap out of you..

yes, i took my phone apart...

Many thanks for your reply. Why would you need to remove a sticker beneath the battery to change the key pad? Couldn't you just use a pencil eraser or something to pop it off the front and then lay the new one in? The one on the web site has a bunch of tabs around it so if you got it in the phone it looks like it would be secure. Hard to know for sure though, and you're right - a loose keypad would be annoying as hell.

those tabs need to be folded around the thin frame between the battery & keypad. then the sticker needs to go back on and secure them.
