KRZR-text messaging

Just got the phone for christmas. I like it so far and have no complaints. Im just curious to see if you can view a text message with the handset closed. Has anyone else tried this? if so, what side buttons must u press to open your new text message?

not really. the front screen pretty much can only show you notifications and the time, or act as a viewfinder for the camera. other than that, there is no menu access with the phone closed.
