KRZR Real World Reviews - Comparisons

OK, I'm going to be upgrading a line soon and I don't care about mp3's, ringtones, V-cast, games etc. ALL I care about is RECEPTION and CALL QUALITY in a slim phone. I currently have 2 V3Cs on my account and they are good but I would like a little more battery life so I'm considering the KRAZR, I am going to wait until mid-January to see if the price dropps any. A slim, pocketable phone is a must.

I would like to hear some real world experience with the KRZR. I would also like to hear other recommendations that fit the above criteria.

I have the v3m and the krzr. Both phones are very good. The speakerphone on the krzr is better and in my opinion, the call quality is as good as it gets. With my extended battery on the krzr, it is the best phone to hold day in and day out....very natural. Give it a try. Like you, the rest of the features are just icing on the cake.

Thanks a lot for the reply, exactly the kind of information I was looking for. I am leaning very heavily toward the KRZR, but mabye not at current prices. I'll see if the $$ comes down any in January.

I have also seen reports of the reception being better on the RZR, but this does not appear to be an across the boards observation, which leads me to believe that it varies with the specific handset and location.

i have the KRZR and the sound quality and reception is awesome! that is all that matters... and the battery life is probably the best of any slim phone out there! with moderate use it holes the charge for about 2 days

I agree. Motorola phones are usually good with that (at least on the CDMA side, anyway). The camera, video, music, etc.... are good too. Whether you're a feature person or not, the KRZR is a good choice.

I have owned this phone for about 2 months and the call quality is definitely not as good as the RAZR. I constantly have to ask the caller to repeat what they say because the call quality is so bad. If call quality is your number one criteria, I would not recommend this phone.

Really? It's loud and clear for me, including the ringtones.
