Hi everyone,
I bought a KRZR at Alltel today and took it to my VZW location where the awesome techs/friends set it up for me.

The only thing they couldn't do at the moment is the PRL number. They need the software update? to put the correct PRL number in the phone. So I will keep checking back.

Otherwise it works beautifully. I bought the Alltel version because I CANNOT TOLLERATE THE VZW U.I.!!!!!!!!! (pay attention vzw)

Not yelling at you, just VZW.

The Alltel version is fantastic! No lag or delays, tons of ringtones, many more than E815.

Of course someone will chime in and say they can't stand Moto's U.I. It is a free country.

Bye

have you sent/received pix or flix msgs.
My experience with alltel images on vz network is you loose pix/flix messaging. Otherwise all else works pretty good....

data is one thing that an unlocked phone is not supposed to be able to do. you can unlock the phone to be used on another cdma network, but it's not gonna read the programming right. such as data, pix, and ringtones.

What about unlocking and/or flashing a VZW phone with the default Motorola interface, for use on the VZW network? Any loss in functionality there?
