ringtones using freeringers.net

I used to have a motorola v710. Then i switched to the LG music phone and now have a LG VX8300. My question is if using freeringers is the same with the KRZR as it is with the v710. When I use the freeringers website and send a ringtone to my phone and get the text with the ringtone and download it, does the KRZR work the same is my question. If that makes sense to anyone

It does make sense to me I used funformobile on the 710 and e815 but it won't work for me on KRZK
...
