Ringtones "airtime applies"???

Hi,

I am contemplating buying some ringtones from VZW...forgive me, as I have never done this before.....what does it mean "airtime usage applies"? - does this mean I am charged during the download process as I acquire the ringtones...or everytime my phone rings? - Also, what does "1 use" and "6 uses" mean? Once I purchase the ringtone, isn't it mine to use as long as I wish, on my K1m?

Thanks very much, this forum has been very helpful.

As long as you are online and dont subscribe to a web plan through your service provider, you will be charged airtime fees while you are searching and downloading ringtones. You may also be charged for traanferring the data from the web to your phone. The fee for data tranfser is usually a few cents per KB. After being charged those fees, you will have a one time charge for the ringtone. After it is downloaded you will not be charged when your phone rings because it's already downloaded. I hope that answers your questions

1 use or 6 uses is likely talking to how many ringtones you plan to down load.
Once you download the ringtone you own the tone for as long as you can hang on to the phone in good working condition.

If you loose or break the phone vz will not comp you the cost of the tone.

This is why I'm ticked that they won't let you save the tone to the memory card.

pix and flix go to the card, but not tones.
