KRZR--don't get the big deal!!!!??

I went out first this morning to see the KRZR in the store. As I do have to say it is a nice looking phone, I do not see what the big deal is about this. I was torn between the pink razr v3m and the motorola q but then saw that a krzr was being released today.

Can SOMEONE tell me what TO THEM is the most thrilling about this product? I currently have the e815 and have had not one problem with it but am due for an upgrade . Any help that anyone could give me (or any negatives) , I'd appreciate it! I have to go tomorrow to the store to get it!

👀 Yeah I went to my local verizon store today to see what all the fuss was about.

I have the V3C RAZR now and i am due for an upgrade. My first reaction, its almost the exact same phone I have right now.

A couple of nice features was the ability to change the front and inside wallpapers independently.

The keypad felt a little more solid than my razor which is good as well. other than that there isn't a lot of innovation with this phone I guess i was expecting more. I will probably still get it just because I'm a razor fan and this is just an evolution but they could have done more with this phone.

The big deal is it little size, and texture.
fits in very tiny places, coupled w/ stereo headset and a good size memory chip it's a great entertainment device as well.

Windows media player relatively quickly loads your mp3s on the phone, and tunes are ready to go.

Can't do that so easily on e815.

e815 is really good for older folks w/ vision problems though. point sizes on krzr are relatively small in comparison.

its no big deal - keep up with the jones'. Latest greatest. Looks cool. You sound like you dont have too much of need to show off so you will be happy stayign with the 815. besides there is a shortage of krzrs so if you stay home then i might get one so i can show off. lol 🙄

I now have the K1 and the e815 style is the k1 but I think e815 is friendlier to operate

It's not a big deal. Some of us like gadgets and we want the latest, newest, etc. It doesn't mean we are egomaniacs or want to show off. I've had mine since Monday. Besides the phone scoop forum readers, my wife is the only one who knows I have it and she could care less. If I were an ego maniac show off half of Connecticut would know by now!

I went to see it today too. I was shocked to have the salesperson say its identical to the razr with the exception of the shape. I thought they would be pushing this hard and it seems just the opposite. Makes me think the 8600 and 9900 are around the corner.

stopped by a VZW store and it looks pretty slick (as in nice). I compared it to my e815 and it definitely an improvement in size. The e815 looks like a fat potato next to the K1m.

The display is smaller, but I do like the larger numbers displayed when you dial vs the smaller ones on the 815.

If I can figure out how to get it at a decent price, I'll consider it and eB** my 815.

My $0.10 worth

Visited a store yesterday and I asked them if they had gotten the krzr in and they said yes, though there were none on display. He went to the back and grabbed one for me (the other employees gathered round and threw in their wows at the look of the phone). I played around with it a bit but found myself not liking the UI very much. Red bars take up way too much of the smaller screen and the outer casing gets dirty real quick. Bluetooth version is also 1.1, ugh.

I was looking forward to signing up for another 2-yr with this phone, but now I think I might wait a bit longer and stick with my e815.
