Has Motorola or Verizon released any software upgrades for this phone since it was first introduced? I still like the phone, but it needs some minor software improvements, such as the ability to make the type font larger.

I spoke to vzw customer service three times in the past week. They are letting me switch to a Maxx because they have no updates planned. I need a phone that will ring and vibrate and play individual ring tones. Verizon dropped the ball on fixing this phone.

Figures. No updates to fix problems, but only to restrict how you use it. Sounds like VZ alright. Any chance that your latest K1m allows you to change type fonts or sizes for text displayed on the screen? That is the one I was hoping for because the type is so small and hard to read. Other Motos have that option available, but not my K1m, which I have had for more then 6 months. By the way, with the help of some people over at Howards, I was able to figure out how to connect to my computer and use the phone as a modem for decent speed connection to the net, without paying for data. It only uses minutes and works perfectly every time while I am traveling.
