RIGNTONES without buying?!?!

I just got this phone three days ago. 😁 I LOVE IT; but is there any way to get ringtones without buying them?!!?

I got so used to "recording" on the lg-vx8000 and the Nokia 6305i that I was hoping to do the same with this phone.

Basically, is there any way to get ringtones without having to buy them from VERIZON or anyone else??

THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE. 😎

9900 dialed itself -Phone made 2 long calls without me dialing !

Guys

I am so pissed right now.. My partner gets home tonight and listens to a 4 minute conversation I had with him in the car on his home answering machine. Whatever happened and we can figure it out, the phone dialed his home machine which I had called hours earlier but other calls were made in between and stayed connected for 4 minutes.

This is the old problems with candy bar phones. I thought key lock protects you , apparently not..

I am very upset about this, because this could have been a customer..

Flip phones never have this problem.. I am very worried because I am starting to like this phone and I hate to have to dump it for this reason.

Call Clarity

What is everyone's imput on the clarity while using the phone?

For me it was just "okay"..I ended up returning it and back to my LG8300 just because I talk too much and I need the clarity to be 100%.

As far as the QWERTY goes, it is amazing. Great keypad. I had no other problems.

VX9800 user's take on the 9900...

reasons to upgrade to 9900:
smaller, lighter, better camera, camera lens cover, prettier UI.

reasons not to upgrade:
have to purchase a new memory card (mini to micro)
the phone does not sit flat (honestly, what product designer decided that it was a good idea to have the camera stick out like that out of the bottom.)

honestly, i think my next upgrade will be to a data device / pda phone vs the enV. i txt more than i talk on my phone so a full keyboard is a must but this thing is honky. "brick phone" as my friend calls it. maybe the Q? originally i purchased the phone to double as an mp3 player but i'm not looking to invest on a headphone adaptor. plus the mp3 player on the phone does not seem very intuitive to me.

just my 2ce...

both screens should be bigger.

In my opinion the outside screen is just pathetic, and the internal screen is the same size as the one on the VX-8000 just flipped. LG should have made it a little larger.

new every two upgrade?

I am now due for my every two upgrade. It is $100 towards the price of a new phone (probably the last time I'll get the $100). ANYWAY, I have the Q which I have no problems with, but do not want to lose the credit of $100 as VERIZON says that if it is not used within a certain period of time I will lost it. Should I get the LG 9900 or the WHITE CHOCOLATE??? ANy thoughts?

Why i ordered the enV rather than the krzr.....

mainly because the battery life and the 2.0 megapixel camera... also because the krzr doesnt let you record phone callls.... which brings me to that subject. Anyone know if this is finally a phone where you can record both ends of the line during a phone call? i currently have the V and i record my phone calls almost all the time (scandlous huh? haha) and it bugs me how it only records the voice of the person im speaking to.

Unlocked version for cingular?

Unfortunately verizon in my area isn't that great but I love this phone. Would I be able to use this phone (unlocked) w/ my cingular service without too much of a loss in service area or quality?

My review

Hello all. New to this list. Anyhow, I'm an ASO at VZW and here's my review.

Phone just came in a few days ago and I was a current owner of a 9800 to which I just sold on ebay about a week ago. Was looking to upgrade to the 9900 but changed my mind due to a couple things about this phone.

The positives:

The 9900 as most all know now is finally slimmer! It's also about a 1/2 ounce lighter.

It's 2.0 megapixel camera is finally now in the quality realm of a Samsung and finally since the chocolate came out LG's can now take over the MMS limit of 15 secs of video. That's a huge improvement! Also the quality of the video is comparable to the Samsung 990. The video codec LG is now using is a much higher grade codec, or the compre...

Icon when writing a text message?

I seem to notice a weird icon when writing text messages?

I'm not sure what it is and when I send myself a text message with the icon in it nothing shows up.

Any ideas on what it is? Anyone else seeing the same thing?

opinions welcomed between lg 9900 and lg 8600

😁 Trying to decide between 9900 and 8600. I really like the 9900 but the only drawback is how you answer the phone with having to find the send button to answer it and end to end the call verses the open and close flip option on the flip phones. Any opinions on this subject would be welcomed.

Also, when using mobile web on the phones, can you pretty much go where you want. I DO REALIZE IT IS MOBILE WEB AND NOT LIKE THE PDAS. I just like to browse different sites while at work.

Can you go to others besides yahoo mail? such as juno.com?

Thanks for your information 😉
