Who Cares?

Honestly, Does it matter that much that this unit came out now and we should be excited? Sure, if you are a new user or must replace your treo, go ahead and invest but I see no real need to toss a good 650 for what amounts to a very modest incremental upgrade.
This unit must be a stop gap for the upcoming 'Hollywood' model that sports some newer tech features. Or at least that's what the buzz is.
No doubt, the 700P will be $450 or more and still have bugs in it from the 650. Granted the increase in memory is awesome but beyond that there's not much to get excited about. Camera resolution is up but what about CCD quality? The network speed takes advantage of higher sppeds but the jury is still out on how it is going to be rolled out and wh...

Release of the treo 700p

i talked to representative tonight and she said that the truck with the first treo's should be received either tonight or early tomorrow morning....If that occurs, the phones will take up 2 days to receive. Meaning if they ship it out tonight, you would get it by friday latest. If they ship it out tomorrow it would mean monday, since thats a holiday... it would be tuesday 🤣

And those waiting for Motorola Q the rep said it would be out online from May 31st- June 4th... June 5th it would be in the stores....

IS VERIZON MESSIN WITH US???

Just wanted to know if anyone knows the real deal here with this phone. I just ordered one from the verizon website but then I go to the palm online store and it says verizon wont get them for 3-4 weeks. Anyone know what's up with this? My online order confirmation says I'll have the phone in 3-5 business days.

Sprint is pre ordering also

I called a rep today. At first she was not aware of the price or if it was possible to preorder. After I while I found out the price was 649.99 and that you could pre order the phone. They also said that it would take to 3-5 bussines days before it arrived. It sounds like they don't have them in stock quite yet but the should have them in by the weekend and start shipping them out by then.

Why is WiFi support for SDIO cards disabled?

Let me guess........Verizon and Sprint want to make sure we pay their outrageous data charges?

Hmmmmmm.....????

Video review of 700p

A little long, but very informative. It's a bit of a sales pitch, but tolerable.

Enjoy.

First!

Sprint is launching first. Radio Shack will have them by first week of June. Rumor is unbranded (unlocked? doubt it highly though) available via palms retail store tomorrow.

Sprint is also launching several other new phones this quarter (Nokia & Motorola).

First CDMA/iDen (PTT only) will be Q3.

RICH, got a ?

Any idea (besides more data revenue for the carrier) why they would disable WIFI support via SDIO? 😕 😡
