Motorola RAZR V3m

I just got the V3m yesterday (w/Verizon). It's replacing my Samsung SCH-A670. Too early to tell if I'll like it more but so far, so good.

One thing I would like is the calendar wallpaper like on my Samsung (also a Verizon phone). It shows the currrent day hi-lited and the background of the wallpaper changes each month (to fit the season). It's very neat and I hope I can do it with my Moto!

Any ideas?

I gan't get my power vision to work I have been on the phone with Sprint for two days and they still haven't gotten it fixed. I'm getting an error 67 when I try to connect to the web or on-demand and an error 1012 when I try to update my power vision profile. Does anybody have any ideas. "Upper Tier" tech support is supposed to call me back within 36 hours, but I want to get this taken care of now!

Does the Sprint version of the RAZR V3m play MP3 files? I am getting conflicting information from Sprint. Also, if it does, can I upload my own MP3s to the phone?

does anyone know if you MUST buy ringers from Sprint? I downloaded some ringers from ddn but it doesn't give me an option to set any of the ringers for anything. But i bought a ringer from Sprint and it gives me the option to set it for different things, but the quality of it sounds like qcp.

Is there any way to silence the sound when powering on or turning off the phone?

oes anyone know how to seem edit to make the razr have the alltel software but work on the verizon network. pleeeease please email me asap.. my email is speedyhen@gmail.com

is there any way to change the settings when you recieve a message...so it uses the message tone u select instead of the ringer id for a specific contact?

Only had my V3M for a month and I'm not very impressed with the perfomance. The volume buttons on the top half of the phone make it cumbersome to adjust. I took many photos but cannot transfer them to my PC with MPT 4.0. The reception is poor in my home, whereas my Nokia 6236i always provided 3-4 bars. The V3M only shows 1-bar typically. Looks like Verizon makes it impossible to transfer photos unless you opt to pay the extra $15 for VCast. My Nokia's PC Suite along with the infrared interface blows away any MPT software. The only advantage to the RAZR is that I can iSync with my MAC iBook. Beside that I wasted $279.00.

Does anyone know if the KRZR for Verizon has improved on the antenna/reception? That is my primary need to get ...

Looking for video and Mp3 capabilities, considering a Q or a V3M, some questions for you guys...

1)The Q allows your custom ringtones to be heard through the bt headset (my 815 does not) does the V3m?

2)What is the largest micoSD card support for the V3m? - 2gbs I think? -

3)V3m: Can you hear music through a single ear BT headset? and what about a steroe BT headset?

4)V3m: Does the voice recognition software ALWAYS ask 'which number' even if there is only 1 number for that entry?

5)v3m: Is there a backdoor way around V's gui, can we over backdoor moto's software?

how can i get my computer to recognize my razr as the v3m not the v3c. everytime i tried to install it, it kept showing up as a v3c, and so im not able to use the music player.

*i used to have a v3c, and i would use bitpim to get my pics off my phone...if that matters*

I have been trying to get music onto the Razor using the music essentials kit. However about half of the music will not play. It will show the file but it will not play. I have deleted and reloaded but it did not fix it. I have spent countless hours with tech support and they are at a loss as well. Can anyone help me understand how to fix this. Thank you in advanced.

I have motorola v3RAZR.But i have the problem when i took the ringtone from my friend.
I want the ringtones from hindi films but when i received it in my inbox it show me as a question mark. It doesn't show me as 'Ringtone received'.
what can i do to load the ringtones.Please help me.I am trying for it.

I have a Razr v3m which has the mini usb port on the side. The headphones connect through this port. Is there any type of cable that will allow me to play my mp3's through my car stereo. I have an mp3 (iPod) port in my car which takes just a regular 9 mm heaphone type of jack. Don't know if they make such a thing yet. Anyone know??

The V3m can play songs in MP3 or WMA format, and Windows Media Player 10 can be used to synchronize your existing Music Library with the phone.

WMP is free, and you do not need a subscription to the VCast Music service or the Music Essentials kit from Verizon to gain MP3 functionality.

Here are the steps needed to do this:

Connect your PC to the phone via a USB cable. Any standard mini-USB cable will work.

Once the two are connected, the phone should show up in Device Manager under the "Modems" category as "Motorola USB Modem."

On the V3m, go into the "Get Tunes & Tones" menu and select "Sync Music." The phone will now show up in Device Manager under "Windows Portable Devices." Mine shows up as a "Motorola V3c."

Can someone please let me know how to turn the evdo off on my razr. For some reason I can't get it to go off. I need to know for the Chocolate as well but with the stanard UI I think it is done the same way! Thank you!

What's the best case that will fit the razr with an extended battery? I don't want a pouch, I'm looking for something that doesn't have to be removed from the phone to talk or charge, preferrably something that will protect the outer display while keeping it readily visible. A belt clip would be nice too while I'm asking for everything else. I've seen several that would be what I want but none of them seem to fit the extended battery. Any suggestions?
