Is it possible to sync contacts with the Palm desktop?

Or is there a way to transfer the Palm data to Outlook and then into LG PC Manager then into the phone?

Thanks!

NON-ACCEPTABLE CONTENT RINGTONES...HELP, NOTHING IS WORKING!!!

Hi,

Does anyone know how to make this phone accept a ring tone. I have cropped all of my songs to under 25 seconds, changed the bit rate so that they are no larger than 250 kilobytes and switched the ID Tags to acceptable genres. What am I still doing wrong, someone who has gotten this to work successfully PLEASE HELP!!!

Converting files to MP3, ACC, or ACC+

Help, when it comes to phones, computers... I am a neophyte. I have a lot of .wma files, how do I convert them to an appropriate format for this phone. The phones user guide states that all music files must be in .mp3, .acc or acc+ format. Help

battery for cu500

Is there any battery out there that I can purchase for this phone that has a longer battery life? I have to charge this phone at least one time per day. I love the phone but I don't like to keep charging it on a daily basis. I don't do any downloading or anything yet. Any advice????

Update to my Review - 3 weeks after purchase

I have decided to return my CU500 after 3 weeks in exchange for a black RAZR. 3G has been great in my town, and all the high-speed data stuff was great on the CU500, but I have come to learn that data is just a novelty item for me and I don't need to be spending $19.99/month for it.

Honestly, the dealbreaker on this phone is that there is no voice dial. I just want to be able to dial the phone through a bluetooth headset while driving my manual car in stop-and-go traffic on the way to work and back. I cannot believe that such a "high-tech" phone would not have this feature, and in fact if it did, I probably would have continued dropping $20/month for data as well.

Hopefully something better than the LG CU500v

I think the CU500 is an oh right handset, but I'm WAITING for something much, much, much better. I have very, very high standards when it comes to technology, I haven't even been under contract for 15 months, waiting for something impressive to come from Cingular, I'm really hopeing the 2nd half of '07 delivers a handset that's actually impressive.

We Wanted It, Now We're Getting It

Though we are late getting it, at least we are. Hopefully by the time Cingular has this upgrade they'll have their 3G network in my area.

Is rising ringtone defeatable now?

A cingular company store rep today told me that the rising-volume ringtone can be set to consistent-volume. But he demonstrated by playing the ringtones from the menu. I tried it later and couldn't find any rising tone defeat in the menus. Phone did say that the software was the most recent.

Don't need USB cable.

I've been all over Houston looking for the USB cable but no one has it. Then I discovered that you can load the microSD card if you have a universal card reader on your computer and the adaptor that comes with the microcard. I maxed a 1 Gig card out in less than 30 minutes. Its very fast this way. Then I popped it into the phone and had all my pictures and MP3 just like I wanted. I don't plan on spending 40$ bucks on the cable now. Still don't have a headphones though.

Email alert sounds?

I set up the phone to be able to check my hotmail, but now every single time I get an email the phone "dingdongs". I turned off the "remember password" feature thinking this would solve it, but no luck.

Is there a way to be able to turn off the "dingdong" alert but still use the email feature? I don't want to have to put the phone on silent, I just want that alert sound to go away.

LG CU500 power conserve option ?

On the Blackjack there is an option where you can make it not look for the UMTS network and have it just stay on the GSM network and it helps extend battery life - Does anyone out there know if you can do that with the LG CU500 - Battery life isn't what I had hoped for. thanks
