Can a 2366i prepaid be used on regular VZW plan?

If I buy this phone as a "pre-paid" (INpulse) (Walmart had them for cheap - $50), can it be used on a regular VZW plan? Or is it somehow locked to be used only as a pre-paid phone?

cheers

Phone Randomly Shuts Off

The phone just shuts off about twice a day. It always has plenty of charge left and I am sure that I didn't hold down the END button or in any other overt way tell the phone to turn off. Yet it turns off. It's sorta ticking me off. To be completely honest, I have a tendency to play with the settings and *MAYBE* I just set up something wrong and forgot what it was. Does anyone know what I did to make the phone turn off? Is anyone else getting this with their 2366i? 😡

Adding Bluetooth Profiles

The manual for my Nokia 2366i says the Headset (HSP) and Hands-Free (HFP) profiles are supported. The PhoneScoop website says several more profiles are supported. I am interested in syncing my contacts and calendar between my Nokia 2366i and computer via bluetooth. Is it possible to activate the additional profiles?

Get It Now

I just received my 2366i today and I can't find Get It Now on my phone anywhere, even though the telesales rep assured me that this phone had it enabled.

So does this phone come standard with it or not? Is there a way to download it if it doesn't? Am I basically screwed for downloading new ringtones and games to this phone?

(I wanted a "good" phone but my employer doesn't allow camera phones on our jobsite for privacy/security reasons and that really limited my selection in wireless devices).

does this phone have real good reception?

I am looking for a phone that picks up anywhere, doesnt cut out and has few drop calls. i used to have an old phone and it worked great and i miss it. seems they are forcing us to get the new flip phones that have this newer technology, well i just want a simple phone that gets good sound quality and reception, no extra's. Anything anyone can tell me about this phone would be greatly appreciated. Also what is bluetooth?

Can bluetooth be used to send ringtones to Nokia 2366i?

I recently lost my lgvx8300 and had to replace it with 2366i. I used bitpim to communicate with my former phone. Can bitpim or an alternative be used to send ringtones to this phone? Any help is appreciated!

Nokia made or Pantech made???

I was under the impression that Nokia was no longer manufacturing CDMA handsets. 6215i and 6315i I know are made by Pantech but have Nokia's name on them. I'm confused by phone because it looks much more like a "real" nokia than the previous models mentioned. I sell Verizon service and the first one of these that arrived was DOA. Not generally a good sign when new phones come in. The ones we got that worked seem to have quite a bit of lag in O/S. If this is a Nokia made by Nokia then it is lowest quality Nokia I have ever seen for VZW service. Beware the Nokia 2366i!!!

NOTICE

I just want to clearify one thing. This is an entry level fone! Everybody is trying to compare it to the Nokia 6256i, well that isn't a entry level phone, it is a competator of the Moto Razr! This phone has text messaging, and calling. That's it, except for Bluetooth. It doesn't have a radio, it doesn't have a camera, no MP3 player, and no pix messaging. Sorry! 😎

Huh?

I was under the impression that Nokia was no longer manufacturing CDMA handsets. Last one? Is this a Pantech or the last Nokia made phone for CDMA? 😕

just because of Nokia UI

I am getting this phone just because of the Nokia UI and blueooth. I hate the verizon UI. I have the 6256 and have been dealing patiently to the modifications on it that were made for verizon. the ui is Nokia on that, and is thankfully Nokia on this phone. I wish i could get the 6265 and put it on verizon.

Has anybody tested the OPP / FTP yet?

The phone is supposed to have a full BT stack, like the 6256i. Has anybody tested it yet?

Can you transfer a contact kist to another BT device, like a Lexus or to Outlook?

Is this phone really going to come out soon and if so, will it be a Verizon phone?

Just Ordered this Phone from walmart.com

hey,
Just ordered this phone from walmart.com lastnight and i was wondering if any one already has it and could tell me a little bit about it. LIke does the FM radio work without haveing to buy the head phones? I bought this even though walmart said that it wouldn't work in my area. Well, i checked at verizonwireless.com to see if it would work, and it says that it will. Thanks for any help that you can give me. 😁

How come the intro says it has FM, but the specifications say it does not?

Look at the interface! It's so... clean... and efficient... look how many fields they fit on that QVGA screen - my Samsung with the same resolution only fits 3 or 4... wow... just wow. Bout time someone gave us something that could even slightly compete with Japanese and South Korean carriers.

VX8400???

Here is what I find interesting.
The FCC site shows that the VX8300 was submitted on 03/03/06 and the VX8400 was submitted on 11/18/05.
However, there is no mention of the VX8400 from CITA.

The FCC site says the External Test Photos for the VX8300 will be up available on 10/14/06, and the External Test Photos for the VX8400 on 05/17/06.
