Customizable Flash??

So does anyone have any insight on what is going to be "customizable". This seems like a fairly exciting step to add flash lite to a cell phone. Not only will the games and animations be great to use but I think this will create a new medium for EMS messages.

So that is my insight, any others would be great!

Gracias,

what do you think of the look???

guys let me start off by saying i am not trying to bash the phone in anyway, i am actually weighting whether to buy it. for those of you you have had the samsung a670, which i had doesn't this phone greatly resemble it, in terms of color and design??? yeah i know there are huge differences in the mp3 player area and bluetooth and speaker phone and blah blah blah. so i was wondering what you guys think. i would get the phone right away if it was all black, but i think it looks almost like the a670.

Already one ridiculous review

People,

Unless you have used a phone and have some serious insight into its performance...DON'T POST A REVIEW. That first review is nothing more than a forum post, and thats where it should have gone. Sorry for the rant, but I can't stand these silly reviews.

Possibly no A2DP/Stereo Bluetooth on the VX8300!!!

Just to let everyone know. One of the most eye-catching features for the upcoming VX8300 is the stereo bluetooth/A2DP profile. Unfortunately, none of Verizon's documents that show the features of this phone list stereo bluetooth, or a2dp profile. It lists the other profiles such as OPP(with Vcard only), but not stereo bluetooth. This doesn't look good, guys. If anyone from LG or Verizon Wireless knows the deal with this, please let us know!

If you do not see it under your zip, try 33069 (FL).

flash ui is over rated

Okay, everyone is sweatin the flash UI...all it does is allow users to change the color. It's still the verizon UI, just in gray or orange, or blue, or whatever color you pick. This does not solve the problem of the UI (atleast for me) I want more functionality, not more colors...I'll get excited when verizon finally gets this UI right and stops pushing get it now and vast features.

small update

the vzw site now lists the phone will have a 50 dollar mail in rebate and still lists the 2 year pricing as 99.99 i'm not that bright but that sounds like 50 bucks to me. i guess that makes sense since that's the current 8100 price.

how do you go from one phone to another?

i hear about people switching phones all the time, from 8100, to the razor, to the a950, back to the 8100..... my question is, how do you do this without signing a new contract or the verizon people telling you that you have to wait months before you can get an upgrade

To eight0eight

Hey, whats up with:

1) none of VZW's documents for the VX8300 showing the bluetooth a2dp/stereo bluetooth profile as a feature.

2) Is it gonna play both wma's and mp3's? I keep hearing different answers. I even heard it will only play mp3's. how could this be possible if VCAST Music uses the windows media player, and wma?

gotta wonder...

I don't believe all these specs will be there upon release. I was really looking for the bluetooth to have OBEX, but I settled that there were none available with Verizon when I purchased the 8100.
No matter I would more than likely get it anyway!

Expansion Slot

Can some please post what the maximum amount of memory that can be added to the 8300 with a micro sd card?

I thought it was 512mb for the 8100 so, naturally, that would be my guess for the 8300 but I haven't seen it posted anywhere so I'm not sure.

Thanks

FM TRANSMITTER?

Has anyone heard if VX-8300 has FM transmitter like the Fusic/LX-550?
I heard from a employee @ VZW that there is a rumor that this phone might have it also.
Please let me know!

To "yeahright "

Since you have already used this phone. Can you find out why the viewing of text messages on the outside has been disabled, and whether or not Verizon plans to enable this feature in a software flash? Also, whats up with using the speakerphone with the phone closed?

Bluetooth Version

I think I saw mention on HoFo that the 8300 will have BT 1.1.

Anyone have any confirmation of this?
