Sony Ericsson K790 / K800

make this phone into a flip???

Anyone had this problem of the phone resetting itself when you are using a bluetooth headset and hang up using the hang up button on the phone, not the heaset?

I was wondering can you shut off the flash or is it just automatic according to the light needed? Also, can you shut off the shutter sound like on the K750?

I have seen the original versions of these phones and i was blown away. but now that i seen the American version, some of the features that i say are not there. i am so upset. i wait around 6 months for this phone to hit our shores and it does not come with all the feature displayed in the original version.
If this did have video calling, i would buy one for myself and one for my girlfriend.
Now i am thinking of only getting one from overseas.

OK I have the S710a and i really like this phone ALOT! Is this (K790/K800) phone actually worth switching to?? I am a true believer that my current phone is still one of the better phones out there and it's 2 years old. All i am asking is a little help making my decision.

Hey I'm a Verizon customer whose contract ends in 2 weeks and I WANT THIS PHONE! Should I just buy it online, take it to a Cingular store and get a SIM card? And what about insurance? If I lost this thing I'd really go ape sh!te.

And another thing, are there any retail stores that display phones such as the K790a that are not available through the regular carriers? Like the Sony store in downtown San Francisco or whatever. Just want to test it out before I buy.

i wish that the U.S. market will get there stuff together. this phone can do video calls, but the U.S. version does not offer this feature. i don't think it is worth it, unless it is bought from over seas. BUT then again the person that you are call better have this feature too. or else it is worthless, in that case the U.S. market version is better.

I was just wondering if an unlocked K800 will work with TMobile here in the USA? I am currently trying to order a K790 but the seller only has a K800 and he is trying to tell me that this will wrok just as well as the K790 for my TMobile here in Florida. Can anyone please educate me? 😁 Thanks in advance !!

Ok, this trend is making sick! I just read the first review on this phone and reviwer's only con is 'call volume'

This phone is absolutly sick. I'm super geeked about getting in the Sony W810i, however, this phone is just a wee bit nicer. But I don't think we'll be seing this one in the states for quite some time. Any idea of when we can expect a release date Rich?

looks to be between these two b/c both are gsm but i doubt cingular will carry a 3 megapixel camera so im guessing t-mobile
