Great phone

I bought this phone bout 3 weeks ago and bought a 512 micro card to go with it. This is a great phone but the only flaws I have with it is that you can't customize your shortcut buttons and th music coming out the speakerphone isn't very loud.

Is there any possible way to pesonalize the ring tones for messaging? There is a list of like 5 and no way to personalize or chose from regular ring tones...

T609 - RECEPTION, CALL CLARITY?

Ok, so can anyone who owns this phone tell me what the reception is like? The last Samsung I owned had spotty reception and a lot of breaking up in different areas - mostly at home which I wasn't happy about.
Thanks. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Speakerphone Problems

Has anyone who has the phone personally, first-hand experienced any problems with the speakerphone?

T609 text input

Just got my T609, still experimenting with it. Two quirks so far, any ideas?
1. When entering text such as an Email address, when returning from the "special characters" input mode, I always return to T9 mode rather than Alpha character mode. Am I missing something?
2. I'm able to send a picture message to my AOL Email address ok, but cannot get one back to the phone. No error msgs.. sent ok from AOL.. but it never arrives at the phone. Pic being sent is a .BMP file, 290K. What's the proper procedure? Insert the image into an Email, or...?

BT ringtones

Can you have personal ringtones on this phone when using Bluetooth. I know many other phones can't. What phones can?

Samsung T609

My friend has this phone and I heard the ringtones on it and it sounds way good! You can hear the ringers crisp clear and VERY loud! The Hi Fi ringers are usually muffled with most phones, but with this model there isn't any problem.

Also, I notice this phone is currently online in white, however, my friend went to the t-mobile store and got a black one.

Where are the CDMA Sammys?

Rich,
Was there anything at all from samsung for CDMA? It would seem that after 3GSM, most of the GSM displays had been made (though it seems a few tricks were still up their sleeve). Where is the focus on (american bound) CDMA? I know Samsung has a strong relationship with Verizon and a pretty decent one with Sprint as well. I gotta feel somewhat disappointed that this Korean manufacturer had nothing interesting to show for us code-divided people.

T609 - FM reciever? A2DP? When?

Three questions regarding the T609... is there an FM radio receiver in this handset?

Does the phone support music transmission over BT (i.e. A2DP)?

Third question... any idea when T-Mobile might start selling this phone?

Question about cingular's 3G

Looks like its finally out but the lg and the samsung are both lack luster in features and design. Is the Samsung P857 going to be 3g cause i love the way the phone looks and is worth being on cingulars 3g network. I am a loyal cingular user but right now they are getting crappy phone and extremly delayed times. Same go's for the push to talk.

where's the WOW factor?

I'm not very impressed with what Samsung is offering this spring. I would expect something with orginality and feature packed. We need to bring the Samsung phones that I saw in Korea last month over to the US, but unfortunatley that won't happen anytime soon.
