Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133

Just got my 6133 two days ago. I like the loud ringers, strong vibrate, overall 'feel' of holding the phone, push-to-open and of course the high-res screen. Few things I find very disappointing though.

While you can change the color of the text on the main display, there is no way to change the text color of the time and date on the mini-display. If you have a dark background on the mini-display, there is no way to see the time.

Voice dialing. Practically worthless. First of all, there is no way to use it with out a headset, Bluetooth or otherwise. When you do use it with a headset, it can't recognize anything. Hey everyone I just recently bought a 6133 from my T-mobile store and was given the data cable so I can use it for the Nokia PC Suite. Well I have downloaded the PC Suite and everytime I plug in the data cable I get a message on my phone saying," Enhancement Not Supported" Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything and even download the proper drivers for the cable and nothing works. Has this happened to anyone else and if so did you fix it and how. My T-Mobile rep swears that it works and that people always go back and say they don't work but he says they just don't know how to install everything correctly. PLEASE HELP!!! 😕 😕 😕 😕 😕 😕 😕 😕 😕

I can not get 320x240 at 30 fr/sec to play?
It plays audio only at those specs and the video is just black.

What is the maximum video pixels and framerate the 6131 will support in mp4 format?

Are there any 3rd party video players for the s40 OS?

I can not find this info anywhere.

This phone supports sensor yet the nokia website doesnt show it. when i went to the european website they have a newer version of sensor to download but not for this phone. is there any way to get it to download or no???

You can use anything as a ringtone with this phone, even video stuff

Open up your gallery
Go into where you keep your music files
highlight the MP3 you want
Select Options
Select Use tone
set as ringing tone


That should do it

I noticed the feature while flipping through the menus and such but I can't seem to find anywhere to download the Wireless Presenter PC software.

I was tired of waiting for the 6126 to hit stores with Cingular. They're really dropping the ball on this one...so I bought a 6133 outright from T Mobile. When I put my Cingular sim in and power up the phone, I cannot use it because I'm prompted to put in an "unlock code". Anyone know what this could be or where I could find it? Thanks.

does anyone know how to enable this? i think i read somewhere saying that if you transfer the file from your phone to your computer and then do something to it, then transfer it back to your phone, it is enabled, but i can't remember the details, does anybody know anything?!?

Does anyone else have this problem? I've had my 6131 for about a week now and the phone itself is GREAT. The battery life has gotten better with each charge, and I use my phone for everything! For example, today, it's 9:30 p.m. here right now and I've had it on since 7:30 this morning, and it still has a full charge! HOWEVER, when I go to tones and check them out, they are quite loud and clear. But when I use them for the ring tone and/or message alert tones, they do this "ascending thing", eventhough I have it set to "ringing" and not "ascending". It's very frustrating! I want my phone to be loud like it is before they are actually used. Does anyone know if the 5.5 firmware fixes this? My firmware right now is 3.72.

So if it's true that the latest firmware v5.5 does fix the problems people were having with this phone in the U.S. under Cingular, does this mean it's possible Cingular might give this phone another chance at a release, or does Cingular just want to forget this phone ever existed already?

I am getting one of these in the mail from UPS tomorrow and was looking on the different sites and saw there it does over-the-air updates. How does this work? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks! Does anyone know how to change the alarm clock volume on the 6133? I can't find it anywhere and the alarm barely wakes me up

i keep hearing people say there is one, what is it? how much does it cost? where do i look at purchasing one? by what is it i mean is it a thicker peice of plastic that goes in there, or just a stupid little screen film like would come on the phone? if it is a little plastic film like comes on the phone what possible good does that do once its on it would be a pain to take it of without damaging the screen, and it wouldnt really provide any more protection!?!
