Overpriced!!

I have the 6131 unlocked that I got on Ebay from saberpoint.com and I'm very happy with it. Why anyone would pay for than $300 with a 2 year contract for the 6126 is beyond me, the 2 phones are exactly alike.... Cingular is probably gonna screw it up somehow anyway.

Greatest Phone Ever???

This phone looks so HOT! I have been using my Nokia 6560 with my TDMA National account for a few years now, and am just waiting for a new phone to make me switch to GSM.

Does anybody know when Cingular will be getting this phone, and for how much?

New Cingular ETA

Per my very reputable source, this phone --originally scheduled for a July 5 release-- has now had its release date pushed back to the first week of August.

Mobile holders...

In my search for the perfect phone that has all the features and accessories I want, I e-mailed Nokia about the availability of Mobile Holders.

They said that the CR-34 (used with the 6102 series) would work with it. Does anyone have knowledge about the accuracy of this?

whats going on here?

I just got off the phone with a rep from a cingular corp store, he said they just recieved the new price list and it has the 6126 release date as of Aug 17. Is it possible it could have been pushed back that far? He also said the lg cu500 would be in his store next week, and the samsung sgh-zx20 is suppposed to be released Aug 4. I sure hope his date of Aug 17 is wrong.

Voice Dialing

For those of you who have the 6131, and for the few who have gotten to play with the 6126......

Does this phone have real voice dialing, or does it still require silly "voice tags" to be recorded in the phonebook first like older nokias???

Further, if anyone can comment, how does the voice dialing work via bluetooth headset?

any other info on the voice dialing feature will also be appreciated. thanks

Any new info regarding ETA for this phone?

In an earlier thread someone had mentioned July 5th as an arrival date for this phone w/Cingular in US stores but none of the Cingular stores even have preliminary info on the phone.

Anyone have any new updates about an ETA for the 6126?

Cingular Settings

Sorry if everyone knows this already but I found it nice that you can go to www.nokia.com/support and get all the settings for cingular (MMS, internet, e-mail) and anyother provider for that matter. Great phone, love it!

Nokia - "We Don't Know"

Nokia USA Customer Service 1-888-665-4228. They have no information on any release dates or if Cingular has even put it into testing. If you need a new phone now you may want to think about moving on. If you can wait, it may be worth it.

Coming out today?

So is this phone going to be released today? I know I originally heard July 5th, but then I heard it would be delayed again.

Any info?

Coming to Cingular

I work for Cingular and we just word that this phone will drop on July 5th (which might change) but will retail for $249 flat out or $149 (no rebate) with a contract, hope this helps out, Ive seen the phone and it looks to be the best Nokia (non-smart phone) to hit these shores in a long time.

problem w/camera feature

has anyone experienced problem with the camera and video feature on this phone? mine just showed while picture, funtion buttons are grey out, phone freezed for about 10 seconds, then it said operation failed.

my phone came w/o microSD. perhaps that might be the cause? even when i plugged in microSD card it still didn't work.

help!

flip button

For those of you who already have this phone, how is the flip button?

Can you open the phone without using it, or is it locked shut until you press the button?

Does the phone flip open in your pocket/bag when the button is accidentally pressed?

Text Messaging Question

For those who have the phone already, can you view your text messages from the external display? I seen Verizion LG phones do that and its neat. If this phone does it, thats awesome! 😎

over in the "3GSM 2006" discussion:

Stereo BT on the nokia 6131?

at the bottom of the page it says

"Although Nokia considers it mid-range, the 6131 is fairly feature-packed, including quad-band GSM, EDGE, stereo Bluetooth, a megapixel camera, and a microSD card slot."

but that is the only place i see that says it has stereo bluetooth. can anyone confirm that it does?
