Samsung SCH-A930

I have tried everything?

How do I transfer the .mid files from my card to phone? Or how can I play them right off my card?
When I go looking for my files I go to Settings and Tools, Then to Memory, Then to card Memory.
Am I looking in the right place? I do not have V Cast Music, Do I need this?

If there is anything anyone can Help me with I would appreciate it!!! Thanks

which do you recommend?

When I'm talking to someone on the phone, it seems like when I talk, the other side is complete silent. This isn't the case, as I told the person on the other line to play some background music to test this.

But when the other person is talking, I can hear the background noise and everything. But when I speak, the other side is complete silence. So I don't even know if the person hung up, or if they are getting what I'm saying. It sounds like the other person's voice keeps cutting in and out.

Does anyone have this problem?? I was wondering if it's just my phone, or this is how the Samsung A930 works...

I have the LG 6100, and love being able to turn on manner mode from the side button, silencing it without having to open it and all that. can you use the up down volume buttons while the phone is closed?

I just received my new Samsung a-930. It's awesome, but has one annoying feature. When a voicemail comes in, it alerts you. Ok, I attended to the voicemail. I even erased it. The phone keeps beeping.I have no symbol that is showing. I even left myself a new vm & tehn deleted it. What do I need to do to kill the alert? Thanks.

I just got this phone and i got a couple questions hopefully you can answer at least some. Thanks.

1. Lets say some calls and the number appears 619-555-1492 and i have it saved on my contacts as 555-1492 how come the name dosent show of the front LCD? Does that happen to any of you or just mine? Does it have to have the 619(area code)??

2. My calculator sucks!!! It can only add, subtract, etc. up to 9 characters!! I can add, etc. up to 9 characters in my head!! Is it the same with all A930's or just mine?????

3. Is there a way to make the date stay on like the time on the front LCD??

4. Is there a way to delete all speed dials at once????

5. Has anyone had both this phone and the LG 9800 or V???

I think I will be buying this phone within the next week and I just have some questions for people that have the phone and are using the music player on it. When you are playing music on the phone - does the name of the song (and any other info) scroll across the screen while it is playing? Does is scroll from left to right or does it cut it off if it is too long? How about the caller ID - does that scroll across or just flash on the outside display? Any info would be appreciated!

Has anyone figured out how to Connect to a Bluetooth Dongle on a PC yet? I've gotten close using a D-Kink Dongle and I thought I paired it up once. I just don't remember what I did.

When my phone is on vibrate, I can still use the outside keys to play the music. Not only that, but even though it's on vibrate, the phone still plays the songs. I'm sure everyone has done this...but has anyone figured out how to make it, so that when it's on vibrate, the music player doesn't play at all?

My second question is kind of related to the first one...I have a pouch for the phone, and since I have songs on the phone, I keep accidently hitting the music button. I was wondering how you guys have solved that problem...if at all?

What is the best all-around phone verizon has to offer?

I have my song files in WMV format. I put them in the Transflash card (under my music), and put that on the phone. Yet when I tried to play it, it says "error". I've tried it on a few songs...but still nothing. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I read somewhere that verizon might change the NE2 to NE1 if anyone else has herd about that please let me know what uve herd.

The reason i want to know is because right now i got the LGVX6000(I no its an old phone) but im going to upgrade to either the LGVX9800 or A930 but if verizon changes the NE2 to NE1 then ill just get the A930 for free and in a year get the A990 when it goes down in price beacause im not about to pay 250 for a new phone.

Any info would be helpful, so please let me know.

So i have a pretty good experience with the music player except for one thing...


Some songs that i add just don't show up on my fone...they are wma and have the same properties as all the ones that work...

any idea why this works? the phone just refuses to put them in the library, so i can't listen to my fav songs! :'(



P.S. the files are being put on via a card reader, and the files that aren't working do show up with all the other files in the file window om my computer...

I am going to upgrade using NE2 from my LGVX6000 and i cant decide which one i want to get.

Has anyone had both the A930 and the LGVX9800 and has an opinion on which is better (i like the fact that the A930 is $100 dollars cheaper so the LGVX9800 has to be real good in order for me to get it).

Any opinion would be helpful.

is there anyway to dail out from a groups folder on this phone,,i really feel slighted by it having groups and only being able to text from it

I've been using BitPim to transfer MP3 ringtones to my new a930 (using the a950 profile in bitpim) but I noticed that I cannot delete my transferred ringtones from my phone (they appear under the My Sounds menu). The sounds aren't locked or anything. I hit 'erase' on the menu, and song just stays there. Anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?

I started a a930 yahoo group for find out how to use mp3's and other tricks For you all though I wont be monitoring it.

Hey, I'm making ringtones for my a930 by chopping up an mp3 in Audacity, renaming it as a .mid file and then emailing it to my phone.

Right now to keep the file down to the right size (assuming the phone won't accept anything bigger than 300-350kb), i can only have about a 15-20 second mp3 sound clip before renaming it as a .mid. I was just wondering if this sounds about right or if there was a way or different method to get a longer sound clip as my ringtone because my 17 second ringtone almost fully repeats during a call so i know it can go longer. Thanks!

Everytime I speak I cant hear any background noise from the other part? Also when the other party is talking and im talking at the same time, we cant hear each other. All we hear is silence. Anyone else having this issue or know how to solve this?
