WiFi security?

I'm tempted to jump into the smartphone market, but don't know anything about built-in security. Can these phones safely be used off-the-shelf to, e.g., retrieve email (since this requires sending your pw)? Or do you have to do some configuring yourself?

WiFi voice calls?

I have read rumours about a new Samsung phone that can make T-Mobile calls over WiFi.. Anyone know if this phone can do it too?

WiFi for T-M sites only?

My ISP has local hot-spots, but the SDA seems restricted to the T-M hot-spots. Is there there a work-around?

How is this different than the IMate SP5m?

The IMate phone is $529. If this one is $380 without activation I wonder what the difference in price is about. Is this phone lacking anything the IMate has? And why did they add the hump to this one? Just to make it look different?

JAVA

Rich I have played with the SDA and it does JAVA games. Other points of interest are Flash support and Shockwave support (with PC DL then activesync). This also will have full support for MS exchange push email. I was upset that it did not have UMA and that the speaker phone was not as good as the SKII or the BB7105t. The RF was great!
