Anyone have any idea how to reset the phone to factory settings? Or at least default one section to the defaults? I was monkeying with GPRS and want to reset it to factory.

Tmobile SDA & Data Plan :

Hi,
HI,

Anyone got their Tmobile SDA working with a Data plan. Can you please provide the Data plan and $$ you are paying.

Really trying hard to figure out the lowest price plan on the SDA that can give me internet access.

I got the SDA & signed up for Tzone. When I called their customer service, it seem Tzone is not supported on SDA.

It seem the only plan they offer me was the $29.99 plan.

I already got my phone , so potential buyer please be careful. 😢

How do you lengthen the timeout on the keypad?

Does anyone know how to adjust timeout for the keypad? The light on mine goes out after 5 seconds, and I can’t find a way to increase the time.

WHY NO TOUCHSCREEN???

I think that was a huge design flaw. Part of the greatness of the Treo is the ability to use both keypad AND touch screen. The SDA needs a touchscreen to offset the small button usage.

Also, whats with TM's net plans? I currently have TZONES for $5 a month using a Treo 650. I surf the net just as if I were home with my PC. Now, if I wanna switch to an SDA, I need to shell out $30 or $40 a month for the net? AWFUL...............

TM is still a step slow..................

Problems downloading software

After I download any Smartphone Windows Mobile 5 application, I try to install it, and my ATI Catalyst Control Center install application runs. I'm unable to install any programs on this device.

Any ideas?

decent battery life playing mp3s?

Has anyone been able to gauge what kind of battery life you get using this an an m3 player? I'm especially interested in how many hours you would get in airplane mode, since I'd want it to last on international flights. I doubt anyone's tested that out though.

Any responses appreciated. Thanks.

How do I stop email notifications??

I setup my phone to receive email from my Yahoo account, but all that I get are notifications that I’ve received an email. I don’t receive any of the body of the message. I’d like to turn this off because it’s become annoying. I deleted my Yahoo account from my phone, but I still get the notices.

Does anyone know how to turn off these notices?

Thanks

Can't download ringtones

I'm setup at T-Mobile's website, and I selected and purchased a ringtone. The ringtone was sent to my phone, but the phone tries to download the tone through Internet Explorer; however, I don't have a data package.

Where do I go to get mp3 files to download to my computer in order to transfer them to my phone to use as ringtons? I'm afraid that any ringtone website will just send it to my phone, and I won't be able to use it. Apparently, the ringtone has to go to my computer first.

I copied a Monty Python sound to my phone, but I got an error saying that the SDA doesn't support wav files.

Can I use infrared to beam contacts from old phone to SDA?

I have a Nokia 6560 which has an infrared port, and I was wondering if I can use this to beam my contact list to my new SDA? I've tried syncing with Outlook Express with no luck.

Thanks

Don't delete emails ...

If you delete emails from the SDA -- and then run another Send/Receive -- the deleted emails will be removed from the ISP's server.

Seems that's just the way it works. There is no option to Save Copy On Server.

Note that it is not the deletion on the SDA that deletes it from the server (how could the server know?). It's the subsequent Send/Receive.

Note also that this has nothing to do with whether or not you sync up your Outlook email to the SDA (I don't).

Can you use IM without a data plan?

I have a new SDA, and I did not purchase a data/Internet plan; however, I’ve found that I can access and use Yahoo Instant Messenger from just about anywhere without having Wifi enabled. I’m puzzled because I thought that I had to have a data/Internet plan in order to use this functionality.

Any info would be appreciated.
