Using the $5.99 t-zones to access internet

I'm thinking of getting this phone, but I need to know if I can somehow use t-zones (with a little tweaking) to access internet and outlook email. The guy at the T-Mobile store said no, but I think some of you have already done so. Can you get full access to emial and internet this way? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 🙂

Need Help on Copying contacts from Sim to Phone on SDA

I desperately need some help on how to copy sim contacts to contact folder on SDA. I did every thing I possibly could, but in vain. It seems like I have to manually key in all the contacts that I have. I tried open a sim contact then save it on the Contact, but then it doesn't show on the contact list when I turn off the feature "show sim contact". Please Help!!!😕

Sim Lock on T-mobile SDA

I just bought from a friend who used to live in the US a T-Mobile SDA. The problem is that it is SIM locked, I don't have the original t-mobile SIM, and I want to use it in Brazil with TIM GSM carrier. Does anyone know how can I unlock it without the need to ship it to T-mobile?? Also, are there other application locks or restriction that I need to look through to use this phone here.

Thanks a lot.

Skype Mobile on SDA

I found Skype Mobile available for Windows 5.0 on the Skype website:
http://www.skype.com/download/skype/mobile/index.html »

But the minimum processor is 312Mhz(!) The T-mobile SDA only runs 195Mhz. Is there a hack out there, so that I can install Skype onto my phone? Thanks for any help.

Listening to music - any wired headsets available?

I know the SDA's Bluetooth stack presently does not support any of the stereo Bluetooth headsets. So I guess I'm wondering how would you listen to your MP3's, or other music on it? Does HTC or TMobile have any kind of wired stereo headsets or headphones for the SDA?

non-phone question

will the PDA, wi-fi and web browser work on the SDA smartphone without the SIM chip?
has anyone tried this?

i like the features but it seems like a waste to buy this if it becomes a high tech paperweight after i eventually cancel service or switch to another phone.

thanks

T-mobile vs. i-mate models - what is the little hood?

I've noticed that the T-mobile version of this phone has a little hood on top - the antenna maybe? The i-mate version (SP5m) doesn't have that hood, which makes it about 1/4 inch shorter. Does anyone know if has poorer reception/loss of other functionality?

$6 T-Mobile Web Plan (T-Zone)

Will the T-zone plan ($6) work w/the SDA? I am getting different answers from different T-mobile people! I don't want to pay $30 for the internet plan. Was told that t-zone will not work, and can not get WAP. I would really appreciate it if anyone can clarify! Thank you.

Kinda confused

I got my new SDA, and I have a few questions.

1. Is it better to save contacts on the SIM card, or in the phone?

2. T-Mobile's website says that this phone doesn't support downloads. Am I unable to get ringtones, wallpaper, etc for this phone? I had this same situation with Cingular/ATT and my Nokia 6560.

3. What do you use to clean the screen? Holding the phone against my cheek during a call left it unpleasantly smudged. Are good screen protectors available?

Bluetooth Services?

Maybe I'm missing something here... but the SDA has a full set of BT services, right?

I have not been able to push files into my SDA. Bluetooth is active and partly responsive (I can dial via BT from other devices, use a Jabra 250, etc) but cannot receive anything sent over BT.

Also, ActiveSync works well over USB, but when attempting a BT synchronization it fails. My Desktop cannot "find" my device, my SDA says that there are no partners with BT synch capabilities.

Any ideas?

Thanks all!

SDA Memory problem Help!!!!!!!!

The Sda has 64mb of memory with 19.94mb of storage memory and 45.06mb of program memory. The phone from t-mobile comes with 19mb of storage memory already on the phone. So, I'm not able to put any software on my device. It says I don't have any memory even though I have over 20mb of program memory available. What can I do? I have a 1gb mini-sd care where I put everything I can, but I need to put the program on the device for the icon right? T-mobile support said they don't know how to allocate the memory so I have more storage memory and less program memory, does anyone know? Please help I have a lot of programs I want on my phone for school and work but it won't allow me to until I can free up memory.
