Easier way to do MP3 ringtones

As everyone knows with this phone, when you are trying to select a mp3 format ringtone that you either pirated from internet or ripped from computer it will be greyed out. I know an alternative way to use mp3 without going through the hassel of reformatting it to 3gp (which will make the song sound like crap).

1. Put the mp3 song on your phone
2. Go to incoming call settings
3. Select ringtone to see all available
4. Find song you want as ringtone (do nothing yet)
5. Highlight the selected song
6. Click middle select button to mark song (even though it will not allow you to this, the step if a must)
7. Press back button
8. Press save.
9. Go back and check your incoming call and it should be whichever song you highlighted.

Deleting a phone number on text message phone log.

I just purchased this phone last week and so far I am loving it. I was wondering if anyone out there can help me with this. I noticed that when you type in a phone number to send a text message to, it gets saved to a Send To Phone Log. Does anyone know if it is possible to delete numbers individually or clear the log? I have tried different things, but am unable to get rid of the numbers. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Voice Lists/Text Mssg Sound Alerts

Does anyone know how to set a recording in the Voice List as a ring tone? The User Guide says it can be done but when I try it doesn't work.

Also, can I set my text message sound alerts to a downloaded file. Am I forced to choose only from the preset melodies already on the phone? I pretty much want to put a clip of an mp3 as my text message sound alert.

Appreciate any help.

T809 Keypad Question

Hi:

I just got the T809 and wondered if anyone else noticed the keypad is rather dark, especially around the 2, less by the 1 and 3, and then the rest of the keypad is bright white light. Seems strange that these top keys are dimmer than the rest.

Anyone got a thought on that? Is mine defective? Should I exchange it?

Thanks!

Picture Wallpaper

When you put a picture as your wallpaper, there are those big white lines on top and on bottom that really makes the screen look ugly. The only way those black lines disappear is if you used the downloaded wallpaper, the included ones. Does anyone know of a way to get your picture to fit the whole screen, like getting a picture from your computer and putting it onto your phone. Would that make the picture fit?

Synchronize doesn't work...Help??? (T809)

Hi:
I have a new Samsung T809. I've installed (correctly and repeatedly) the software and I can get the phone to connect in the "Modem" mode and the "Media" mode work fine...but on the software panel the "Synch" button is greyed out so it will not synch, via USB my Microsoft Outlook contacts.

Does anyone have any suggestions, I really would appreciate it, after being on w/T-Mobile for 90 minutes, we hit a brick wall, they have no idea what...

Thanks,

3gp ringtone converter, sound quality issues

can someone tell me a good mp3 to 3gp conversion program, and where to find it...for free hopefully. i found a couple on downloads.com, but the sound quality went to hell when i put the 3gp file on my phone. i could use them as ringtones, but they sounded so horrible. is this just what 3gp sounds like, does anyone else have this problem? any help, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated in figuring out what could be a really kick ass phone.

Bluetooth NIGHTMARE

I have a moto H500 and for some reason when bluetooth is enabled it connects my headset fine. But, when i make or take a call. It automatically says "bt headset off". So, now I try to go to options and then click on "switch to headset". Guess what? It does not do anything at all. A solution I discovered is to turn off the headset while the call is still in play and turn it back on. The headset works. That is not a good solution. Why does it enable my headset and connects it? But, when its time to take and receive a call. It disconnects. Can somebody HELLLLPPP MMMMEEE? This is my second phone of the same model..first I thought it would a one in a million thing to have that same problem..But, now its my second phone and it does t...
