LG C2000 vs Nokia 6102

Hi everyone 🙂 --

I'm rather new to this board, but I read it quite frequently. I'm in the market for a new phone... I'm with Cingular and I am tempted to go with the LG C2000, however the 6102 is very alluring too. I just thought I'd ask for peoples opinions on the two phones and any recommendations... I'm not looking for anything super fancy with the works, but something up to date is nice too.

Is the LG better? Or Nokia? Which of the two have the better camera? Also, do these two phones have international capabilities? When I was using the comparisson feature on the Cingular website, it says that the LG C2000 does. [I go overseas a bit (Hong Kong) and was curious as to if the phones would work over there with a quick switch of...

Someone help!!!

OK, I am just a stupid hick, I'll admit it. What is "faux" color display that everyone is complaining about? I need a new phone and quick, half the buttons on my old LG 1300 is not working. Its either the LG c2000 or the Motorola v551. Whick one is better? All advice is very much welcome. Thanks in advance.

Picture ID

Because the C2000 has a faux color display, does it still show Picture ID on the outer display? 😕

Any help is appreciated! Thanks! 😁

Some questions

* What do they mean by a faux color screen?
* Which phone would be better to get through Cingular, the LG C2000 it the LG L1400?
* About how much would this phone run for?

Thanks! Any help is appreciated!

hurry!

Despite the faux colored outside display, I think I'm gonna get this phone when it finally comes out. It has the most features I want in a phone...I just hope it wont be more than $150. I've somehow survived 2 months with the screen broken on my samsung x427, so I hope it's worth waiting a little longer until it hits the stores...

comparison to nokia 6102

i just saw this phone available on cingular forums starting monday and i have had my eyes set on the nokia 6102 for months now, but i was wondering what any one thought about this phone...why all the negative? i mean i know nokias are the best but LG isnt bad...i think ... i have seen some of their verizon phones and they arent bad, and pretty reliable...anyone know the cost with a new line in store / online but not letstalk.com? and reviews from people who have it...this could be an option because it might be cheaper than the 6102 and its coming out sooner...!
thanks.

Horrible step for LG

Maybe they were in a hurry to release something new - too busy working on 3G to remember "hey all our gsm phones are getting stale".

But REALLY?!?!?!? an STN screen? that's the only thing i give current gsm LG's is their screen - so this is a downgrade. Isn't it enough that they upgraded the Battery to 1000mAh?

No megapixel?

No MP3 player?

No B.T.?

Just a lousy speakerphone and improved battery performance. Hopefully the reception will be improved to

I don't know, i kinda like this phone

sure, the monochromatic screen thing may look cheesy, but it is a pretty good idea. the phone won't waste it's battery life on that screen. but, if it is some sticker, then you all are right, shame on lg. but, i have a feeling it isn't a sticker. you see, if it is a sticker, it would be stationery, meaning it wouldn't change. but the time DOES CHANGE. so, maybe it is just one background tingy. i dunno, maybe i overthought it

but, it does look nice, and it does have a camera, so it can't be that bad for me. i like cingular, and i like this phone. it wouldn't be expensive like the razr or anyting, so it is a good fit for those who want a basic phone with a camera, like me.

FAUX Color Display

That is quite funny actually.

Not quite as ludacrist as people who take the dummy models of the phones and pretend they are real.
