Vibrator of the Phone

Hi,

Question....how does the vibrator feel on the phone? I have the e815 and the thing is sooo soft and quiet, I can never hear or feel it. Is this Nokia phone like its predecessors that have really loud nice vibrators? I am always in quiet places and can't have the ringer going so this is very beneficial to me. Thanks,

Ed

Help!

I am hoping that I am just not understanding something basic here on my 2128i but I swear I have combed the users manual and still don't know how to make this work. I have typed in all my list of contacts - so I would expect that when one of those people call me - that their name shows up on the display. But no - when someone calls me who's name and number is in my contacts list - the only thing that shows up on the display while the phone is ringing is the number of the person calling.

Is this the way Nokia does things? This is my first Nokia phone - I am coming off of an LG VX4500.

Any suggestions or help thanks!

anybody do PC sync with this phone?

I have basic needs where I'd like to store a decent number of contacts, to-do's and calendar items, but don't need (or maybe can't even use) wireless sync capabilities, and I definitely don't want a camera.

question about 2128i

If I buy the usb cord that goes with the phone, can I import ringtones? Like real music ringtones? because the only thing I found that I could get off the net was stuff that wasn't compatible with the phone, and the stuff I did find that was compatible via vtext dot com didn't sound good. (aka: MIDI sounding file) Call me picky or whatever, but this is my only problem with the phone, it has good reception, its a good size, now I just want it to sound good.

Also, if I could do that, how would I go about doing that, would I just transfer an mp3 file to the phone, or would I have to convert to a certain file type first?

Thanks in advance.

nokia 2128i

Can one purchase a prepay phone from Best Buy (nokia) and activate it online with an existing Verizon account? Not interested in purchasing the preplan options. Any information would be greatly appreicated.

Not happy!

Sad I know its not the phones fault but my newly purchased phone form Virgin wont allow me to use custom ring tones. Virgin has disabled this feature, you have to get the ring tones from them. Is there any way to get around this?

SIgnal Strength

Just got this phone a couple of days ago. It works great (speaker is a little tinny though); much better than two Motos and a Nokia 6010 on Cingular.

I am wondering how this phone can sound so much better (no dropouts or dropped calls or other crap on the line) than Cingular even though the signal strength indicator is showing only about half the signal that the Cingular phone had. Anyone know the answer?

Will 2125i work for Verizon?

I went to Best Buy and they have the 2125i (Virgin mobile) pre-paid phone for $20, and the verizon inpulse 2128i for $70. Does anyone know if the 2125i will work for Verizon too? They seem like the same phone. Virgin is CDMA I think. Thanks.

Xpress Covers for 2128i

Had my 2128i for over a week and loving it - want to get rid of cheesy VZ logos - I know the phone supports xpress covers but can't find any on Nokia's site or VZ...anyone have any idea when they will become available?

Purchase phone for less!

What is this I am reading about buying this phone from BEST BUY for ~ $70.0, then activating it over the verizon website? Is this true? Is the phone packaged as a verizon phone at BEST BUY or is it packaged as a VIRGIN MOBILE phone?
Appreciate is someone could help me out.
Thanks.

Headset adaptor & volume

Do any of you who own this phone use the headset adaptor that comes with it so that you don't have to purchase a headset with a Nokia plug and can plug in your 2.5 mm plug? If so, do you find that the volume is incredibly low, even when it's set to max on the phone?

Do any of you have a headset with a Nokia plug? If so, do you get good volume through the headset?

Recall

I just heard that all 2128i phones were recalled by Verizon. Stores were ordered to ship them all back. Don't know reason.
