UPDATE

Newsflash!
In case you have not noticed the release of the Razr has been pushed back. The delay is due to a software volume bug, so all the existing stock will need to be sent back and re flashed. It should launch internet exclusive on 12/07/05 & in stores on 12/12/05. 2yr pricing after $100.00 MIR will be $199.99. I apologise for the delay but remember these are internal dates that you should have never known about.

RAZR-Does it support universal hands free headsets

Is it true that the RAZR does not support a standard hands free headset but only supports a Bluetooth headset?

Anyone know if this is true?

Arrival Date

Does anyone know the exact date? If the rebates start on 11/28/2005 to 01/17/2006 then it should be out some where in the middle of December. It would probably be out right before Christmas.

Hacking the OBEX?

So I'm really confused. I know I'm a first time poster, but I have read literally every thread etc and I still don't know why we are that concerned about the OBEX being crippled.

The 810 or whatever has a million work arounds... why is it that we won't be able to hack around this crippled OBEX and have fully functioning OBEX? Granted I'm no expert, but is there a reason why this will not happen?

Verizon Razr does not have full bluetooth

Why would you want this phone when the bluetooth is crippled, it is abig rip off. You would be better with the nokia 6256i which has full bluetooth at least OBEX and can be used on analog and digital networks. The razr is all digital. I guess if you don't want to use your phone when you get stranded in the middle of BFE then get the Razr which will cost about $300. The Razr also has that verizon interface not the moto one. It has no headset plug, in case you might need it one day you never know. And the nokia has its on interface. But you decide if you want the raxr you could just buy the moto 815 they about the same phone except for ascetics and you can get the 815 free.

Can we get an insightful review...PLEASE!!!

I'm sick of these two line user reviews...someone, for the love of god, provide and insightful, well thoughtout review that covers more than the "cool" factor of the phone....sorry for the rant, but someone had to say it 🙂

Happy Turkey Day!!!
