Problem with VZNavigator

I am having a problem with the Navigator program. It will either not find the GPS signal, or it will lose it during a trip. Powering the phone off and on will help for awhile. Is my phone broke, or could I be running out of memory? If so, can I move apps to the sd card?

DUN Works on 9800 now!!

Tracker557, over at HoFo, has done it!!.. It's at 1xRTT, but atleast we HAVE internet via 9800 now!!.. A HUGE thanks to him!! 😁

Here's how:

-------------------------------------------
OK, I messed around with some settings and managed to connect at 1X speeds. I'm not sure if these same setting will work at EVDO network speeds. Here are the exact settings I used with my LG VX9800 with Windows XP using the stock windows "Network Connections" dialer:

I didn't change any settings on the phone, however, I'm not in an EVDO area. If you are in a EVDO network area it may or may not be necessary to put the phone into 1X only mode. Either way, here's how to do it if you need to:

*NOTE - this step may not be required!*

MYSPACE website via phone...

Up until a few days ago I have been able to go online and check messages and so forth on my myspace page. Here lately I have been trying to log on with my user and password and the next screen tells me to I need to be logged in to do that! So I log in again and it continues to say the same thing. Just wondering if anyone has been having the same issues with trying to get on myspace via there phone. I have no problems getting on with my password and user on my computer.

2 GB mini SD card help bad!!

THis may have been addressed elsewhere but I have had my phone for like 6-8 months and I've had a 2 gb card in it, the music portion does not work but I use BitPim to edit and throw pics on the card for wallpapers. Randomly I'll throw pics on BitPim and then throw them on the phone, sometimes when I turn the phone on and off when it gets back on my pics are now currupt and I have to delete them, my whole phone is going to crap and ispent like an hour editing pics, and it erased all the ones I took from months ago, can someone tell me WHY it is doing this, I am so pissed right now...any insight would help me not wanna kill something

How do I use MINISD card?

I just compressed some footage of a music video I just edited and I compressed it in the 3gp format and saved it to a MINISD card. I inserted the card in my phone and now I don't see where I can pull up the card or the contents on the card. I went to MY FLIX but my video was not listed. Should I be looking somewhere else?

Custom Ringtones WITHOUT a data cable?

Hey all. I'm having problems with getting my custom ringtones to work. I don't have a data cable, but I do have a mini SD card. Is there anyway to make custom ringtones without purchasing a data cable.

Is there a certain plan you need for this phone?

I'm looking at buying this phone, but right now I have a Cingular plan. Would I have to switch over to get this phone?

Bluesoleil with vx9800

I went on eBay and bought a USB Bluetooth dongle and it has software with it that installed on my computer. Not so odd - yet. The interface is called Bluesoleil ... info can be obtained here:

http://www.bluesoleil.com/ »

I can't however get the ftp portion of it to work. The help files indicate that I have to enable some sort of sharing on the phone but I'm not sure how to do that.

The software detects the phone, it can be paired up fine but I cannot get it to xfer data back and forth from the computer to the phone through the bluetooth connection ....

I think that is all the important info .... any help would be appreciated.

TIA

My wife has the VX 9800 and would like to download the video of the show to her phone. Two questions: 1- Is it possible and 2- How would you go about it? If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. If directions are to long to post here, my e-mail address is coachman2@cox.net.
Thanks for any help.

VX-9900 Online----GREAT PRICE!

😁

I just bought my 9900 on Verizon Wireless's website. I wasn't eligible for an upgrade because I only bought the 9800 in February, but I was toying around with using someone else's account to buy it tomorrow and then swap the ESN and activate my number on the phone. I went online tonight to see if it was on the site yet and it was, and they showed it for 50 percent off!!! Of course, I snatched it up right away. I really wanted the phone in my hands tomorrow morning but 160+tax is a lot better than the 199+tax+rebate+swapping lines business.

2-5 days, and I didn't even have to touch my contract.

is 3mb the max storage for ringtones?

I bought a data cable, and finally figured out how to use Bitpim to upload my own mp3 ringtones, but I have another quick question that I'm sure somebody knows: is the internal 3mb the only possible way to store ringtones? Is there a way to use my miniSD memory card to store ringtones?
