How to convert avi's,Mpegs, and others to .pg format

Just thought I would post this since I haven't read anyone else who has done this.

First off, I would strongly suggest getting a larger FlashRam 512Mb,,,if you can find one.

Second you will need to get a SDCard reader, very cheap, $12.

Third,,you will need this program:

http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,,034-63,00.html »

If the link doesn't work, just Google,,Nokia File Converter

Then you can just convert almost any media file into the .pg, which our phones can read.

I converted a 148MB avi movie (Robot Chicken, down to a 6MB .pg media file.

Then just upload this file into the / and enjoy the movies!

BTW this can also convert your existing .pg files into a avi. So you can take your own videos and covert them into a ...

A/V lovers... you'll love this one!!

😎 😲 😁

I may be a simple man... but I have trouble being too far from this bad boy...

It's like having your own theme music wherever you are... 2 clicks and I'm listening to a good song... On foot the speaker is loud enough without annoying those around you...

Closed it's locked... hold the camera button, click OK and get ready for a quick shot... snap 5 shots in a row, in 2megapixal and get ready for a single snap shot !

Sounds good... looks good... and grabs the attention of those with "mobile pay phones".

Wait...wait...wait... I have a camcorder which records at 2/3 speed of film and has a built-in light that STAYS on during recording... no more blue washout...

The lens is protected by a "sliding" lens cap... The go...

Got the driver... now how about some software

Well... Looks like we need 2 things to get stuff to our phone... I am interested in the audio/video side of the phone. I don't use the "sync" features...

We have the driver...

http://www.anycall.com:8082/upload/i_world/i_data/SA ... »

Now... does anyone have any software that makes windows treat this driver like a "thumb-drive"? Drag and drop would be nice and easy... Don't really need all that fancy dancy stuff?

Sweet phone... with MP3... that would save me carrying around my phone, mp3, and camera all the time...

Someone out there hook me up please?

Owners of this phone in the S.F. Bay Area...

If anyone owns this phone & lives in the S.F. Bay Area (or north of)...can you please tell me how the reception of this phone is? I switched from Samsungs to Sanyos a couple of years ago. Knowing that Samsungs do not have the best reception (at least in comparison to Sanyos) I'd like to know if the reception of this phone has been upgraded. Or, is its reception as mediocre as the rest of the Samsung lineup?
Thank you! 😎

The s710 of CDMA

FINALLY! A decent camera phone that works LIKE A CAMERA! I mean, sure I want bluetooth just as much as the next guy, but damn! The pix are AMAZING! It was meant to do one thing, and it does it well! Take really bada** pix!

Which leads me back to the s710, which cingular brand as "The ultimate camera phone" Correct me if I'm wrong, but last I checked, it only uses memory stick duo, not pro duo, so it's maxed out at 128mb, and trans flash is capped at 512, thats 4 times more room for more pix. btw, the s710 doesn't have a business card scanner. 😎

The rest of the features speak for themselves.

And if you really really REALLY must have bluetooth, you wouldn't be with Sprint.

Video Caller ID

Does this phone really support video caller ID? Phonescoop "info" says yes. But, I couldn't find specific details noting that on the Sprint website, nor was I able to download the User Manual. It mentions video "screen savers", and "picture caller ID"...but nothing in regards to "video caller ID". Owners of this phone - if you wouldn't mind confirming this for me, as well as letting me know how well this feature works....if it actually has this feature! Thanks! 😎

Critic

You know I think I am one of the biggest critics on phones out there, and I can't stand some of these stupid reviews poeple are giving this phone. I have used a lot of phones mostly samsung and sanyo I have liked sanyo's much more here in the last 3 or 4 years but this phone is awesome and these people that are giving it bad ratings and reviews what the hell do you want? This phone does it all and does it good! I was a non believer and now wow great phone great camera great mp3 player what more do you want! I am very happy with it and have told my editor that I want to keep this phone. Now I have to pay for it! I don't care it's a great phone!

A800, great ideas but how about the packaging

my bro got the a800 shipped to his door. he has been playing with it for the past 2 days. he digs it. he showed me how customizable it is. i dig the snow animation, reminds me of my RH 5.4 box when id turn the snow on. phreakin sweet. the only think i disliked about it was how the phone felt. the slider wasnt as smooth as the lg 535, it also didnt feel as solid. i felt the phone and sqeezed at it and felt if the slide mechanism was loose. my bro and i determined the springs in the samsung are much stronger. the solid feel was due to the buttons on the samsung being loose feeling. if you lightly tapped them, they had some play in them. the lg 535 doesnt. is the phone a bad deal now? heck no. its phreakin amazing. is the lg better or in the sa...

A thought for non-CDMA phone users

If samsung is smart, they will release a gsm verison of this phone (quad-band) for cingular, as I really want this phone, but not willing (and more importantly, cannot) switch to sprint as i just got into a contract with cingular in december (2 years) when this phone was first shown here and it did not mention CDMA or GSM, i was hoping gsm, and then i found out it was CDMA, and so now i'm hoping for a GSM version, as this is great looking phone

is the only way to transfer to/from a pc is to buy a card reader?

^ i thought the phone itself was the card reader and all you needed was the drivers to transfer mp3s and etc. the 5600 does NOT need a card reader right? I assumed this phone had the same capabilities

HAHA love the review hater ..1.5 my ass

Love the muncle's review..total junk. Anyone who reviews a phone and gives it a 1.5 /5 for reasons like it has no speakerphone, pics are slow because of SPRINTS network..not the phone , i cant take good pics..its blurry (try using autofocus and that wont happen) or i cant use as data..didnt look for drivers..which there are YOU just didnt look...

http://www.anycall.com:8082/upload/i_world/i_data/SA ... »

Needs to have the review removed. 1.5 is for phones that cant make phone calls due to phone crashing or camera dont work more then 5 minutes or the phone crashes...I give your review two thumbs way down.

Also about your pic quality at full rez..that is true but when you print them..which i did..they l...
