Information

Someone needs to inform the so called person who wrote wonderful things about Sprint CS in the reviews section that the review section is for review of the phone only and not a forum for bashing cs. Would a mod please remove that from the review section as it clearly does not belong there.

Umm, I have one question, I can't seem to find the function where I turn my LED light thingy different colors, my Sanyo MM-5600 did but this one doesn't, seems kind of strange, either that or I can't find the function in the phone itself! Will someone help me? SOS! ๐Ÿ˜ข Thanks in advanced! ๐Ÿ˜

WON'T REPLACE YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA OR MP3 PLAYER

The Samsung MM-A800 is no substitution for a stand alone Digital Camera or portable MP3 player.

For a Camera PHONE it is the best camera you can get right now. But if you are looking for clear crisp images you can get developed like any other stand alone digital camera you should save money and spend the extra money on just that a stand alone digital camera.
I know this because i made this mistake myself. The images are great for a "Camera PHONE" but compared to a 100 dollar 2 megapixel digital camera it can not stand up against it.
Now as a mp3 player it does its job but transfering those mp3 files is nothing short of a hassle. The phone doesn't come prepackaged with any software to help you; so in order to do this yo...

Use .aac/mp4s as ringtones using SD card?? .. Trick the phone? HELP

I've converted my mp3s to .aac/.mp4s (i've tried both) and can't get to use them as my ringers after putting them on the SD card. Is there any way to trick the phone, like by creating a new folder on the card or something, to get these to work. I've tried a decent amount of stuff, so hopefully someone can help me out.

- on a side note, I'm not able to upload any files to the phone because after an additional $50 charge to my families bill for downloading last month, my mom disabled the internet.

Thanks for any help.

THEY MAKE BLUE TOOTH EAR PIECES FOR NON BLUE TOOTH PHONES!!!!!

Motorola sells blue tooth for non blue tooth phones, itโ€™s a small adaptor that you can attach to the back of your phone or keep near your phone when using it! Itโ€™s not the end of the cell phone world if it doesnโ€™t come with blue tooth โ€“ WORK around the problems donโ€™t cause them!

Is this phone ACTUALLY for sale anywhere?

Hey everyone, I could use a little help here. I live in New York City and have been trying to get this phone for over a month now. It's never in stock on Sprint's website, I have been to at least 4 Sprint stores in the city, all of which claim they've *never* carried the phone (at 3 of the stores they claimed it hadn't been released yet). The only place I have been able to see even a demo is at one Best Buy in the city (out of the 3 I went to), where the phone is always out of stock. They make no claims as to when/if they will get more. Occasionally used ones will pop up on ebay and go for a ton of money (I'm eligible for a Sprint upgrade, so I want to get my rebate).

What happened? Is it like this everywhere? This process has been...

PCLINK 1.0 problems....

I've been trying to get my phone hooked up to my PC with the provided data cable. I downloaded PcLink 1.0 from the Samsung website.

http://www.samsung.com/search/search.asp?qt=sph-a800 ... »

I've been getting an error message saying that the device is not supported by the software. I spoke to a level 2 tech at samsung and they had told me that pclink isn't supported on CDMA phones. Does this sound right to you? Am I dealing with a POS phone? In fact they had told me that I should try to get my hands on PST software and that this software is universal to all phones.

I would like to get PCLink working so that I could sync up my address book, calendar, ringtones, etc... Is everyb...

Finally got my pictures hosted

Pictures i recently took on a weekend trip to St.Louis. I think they're pretty good, but i'll be the first person to say that any stand alone camera would have taken much better pictures. This is still a phone tho, and these actually turned out ten times better than i thought they would once i got back home and looked at them, and my freinds (that dont know alot about cameras) are blown away by the quality pics. I took about 60 over a 2 day span and recharged phone at the end of the second day. Even tho theyre not perfect i think they're great for having one device to take the place of several. Ill still use a regular camera for family events and big vacations but when im out and about and i see something i want to take of piture of, th...

Samsung MM-A800

Can anyone that currently owns this phone give me a user's opinion on how the phone performs? Battery life, Signal, Reception, Earpiece Volume (Calls, MP3s/Music, Sound FX), Applications (Camera, Sprint PCS Vision services, Games, MP3 Player, etc.), and Speech-to-text messaging.

I've played around with it at Best Buy a few different times, but would like to read some in-depth, personal reviews of people that currently own the Samsung MM-A800.

(I've already read the User Reviews on this site and a view others, so no need to point me to those).

Thanks in advance.

Battery life

I was wondering what everyone's experience has been with battery life. Mine seems to die fairly quickly with not too excessive use. For example, I can use an application that hooks me up to the net for about 10 minutes, and I will lose a tick on my battery gauge. Seems a bit quick for it to lose that much battery power.

Reviews?

Does anyone know of any in-depth reviews for this phone online? I see Phonescoop just reviewed the Sanyo MM-5600. Is there going to be a review of the Samsung MM-A800 anytime soon?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
