data plan?????

so i picked this baby up on ebay for pretty cheap, expecting to use it as a phone and a text messanger- thats it.

i call up vzw today and try to get it activated (ie switched from my old v3c) and they said that the only way to activate it is to buy the 10mb or the unlimited plan.

anyone have any insight? prior to like 2 months ago, i know you could do it.

7250 vs. Moto Q? Any input?

Yes, this is a duplicate post. I also put it in the Q forum. Not much activity here, so I hope that will be forgiven.

Can anyone here offer advice on whether you would choose the Q over a BB 7250? My wife's employer is going to set her up with a phone/pda so she can get email, etc. She had this in the past, at a different position within her company. Because of that we own a 7250 outright, although not activated at this time. The company is talking of getting her a phone for her new position. She would have to pay $75-$100 for the hardware - they are talking about the Q - but the company would cover the service fees. I have suggested she just have them re-activate the BB. She is not a "power user", but does need to open email att...

BB NEWBIE: 7250 and speaker phone? Other questions

I just bought my first BB: a 7250 on ebay for $50. But I am worried. The listing indicated it had a speakerphone, but reading reviews I am worried about that. I hope to velcro it to my steering wheel and use the speakerphone -- like my old Nokia- otherwise it will be a doorstop.

Also,
It doesn't have a battery cover or any accessories. I need it only as an organizer/calendar and a cell phone. I will use only text messaging at first and none of the other data services. What will I need to buy? and where should I get them.

Sorry I am rambling, but there were only 18 minutes left when I started bidding and I am afraid I didn't read all of the fine print.

I expect delivery tomorrow or Monday.

BTW: I am on Verizon,

Thanks,

Trouble with BB7250 (Sprint) Web-Browser...HELP!!!

I've been forced into a Blackberry through my employer, and am having some trouble with the web-browser. By trouble, I mean I can't find it.

As I mentioned, I have a 7250, using Sprint's service. According to all the material I've read, there's supposed to be a web browser somewhere (internet access is on my account, if that matters). Going through the applications list, a browser is listed, and it's present under the options menu...I've tried reloading the 4.0.2 software package, resetting the device, EVERYTHING I can think of (and yes, wireless mode is on).

So, there's a browser in there somewhere...does anyone know how I can get to it?

At this point, I'm so frustrated that I REALLY miss my Sanyo 7400...heck, I almost miss my ...

HELP!!! Can't Disable password for my 7250

I just bought a used blackberry 7250. it works great. It appears, though, that originally it was set up with an Enterprise Activation. They set it up where a password was required. I called TechSupport and they said that the only way to disable the password is for me to go back to the server where the enterprise activation was and have them disconnect. That is not an option, so I wondered if anyone knew of a way to basically reset the blackberry that has already had an enterprise activation to no longer have any connection to that, so that I can disable the password protection.
Thanks!
