Is there a free program to manage your phone book i saw on a few sites there was ones to pay for but im not gonna pay 19 bucks for a phone book manager if there is a free program out there please let me know thanks

Hey guys im getting poor signal strangth at my house but if the phone goes into extended netork i get full coverage and its great is there a way to force this phone into entended network if so please let me know i would appriciate it

So how exactly does internet look on this thing. Does it have like scroll bars and views the actual pages, or is there pocket versions for certain pages? Does it do shrink to fit and you could use like a magnifined glass to zoom in to certain areas?

When will EVDO be spreading i'm from the eastbay CA. Anyone got some info?

I just bought this device and have some questions

Has anyone been able to install aol instant messenger or know where to download it or make it work?

Same thing with aol mail..is it possible to obtain it on this device?

Finally is the browser capable with checking ebay. I keep getting a page not found

I was told by Verizon when I bought my i730, that, no matter how I accessed the internet on my phone that I would be charged for it? To me, this makes no sense at all. What if I get to the internet through my home wireless DSL system, how or why would Verizon charge me for that?
Has anyone else gotten this same speech from Verizon? And is there any truth to what they are saying?

I'm having trouble with pages. Specifically when someone calling you gets your voicemail, then presses 5 to leave a call back number?
I keep getting a text message, but it says, "the contents of this message cannot be displayed". Anyone with the same problem...got any fixes?

The title says it all. the phone wil be replaced by another model. They(vzw) are unhappy with the BT profiles and you wanna know what else (the piracy is scaring them) go figure after Kazaa won their lawsuit. The next model now don't quote it i790 won't have anything but BT headset and the normal VZW BT profiles. Just letting you know take it for what it's worth coming from midwest area president. You want to know who it is ask.

Just got my i730 yesterday. Had a Dell Axim x50v and a 6101 Nokia. I was running out of hands with the PDA, phone, stroller with running toddler and wallet.
So far the OS works quicker than my Dell and the phone is the same. I was skeptical because I had the treo 600 when it came out and it got terrible reception.
Anyway my first post and some questions to all those out there: Where can you find nice cases for the i730? I have seen Piel-Frama and that looks good but any others?
Which screen protector gives the best viewing? I have one but it seems to cut down on the brightness (was a protector from MadCatz that i cut down from my PSP).

Any help is greatly appreciated.. I am trying to get ringtones from walmart.com but everytime I go to the music section, it comes up with a warning about how I need Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater?? How Do I fix this ie- get explorer 5.5 for my phone or how can I get the music?? Thanks again for any help...

I purchased this phone 2 days ago and while I love the phone and the features and the look of it, the email is not getting it done and I just cant imagine there not being a fix for this.

Have been on the phone with support all weekend with no real success

I had a few different pop email accounts I need this for (business). I set up the wireless sync with these accounts.

I do get email from the wireless sync however i do not get 100% of them and I seem to get them a good 1.5-2 hours after they hit my desktop computer.

I then went and set up the pop3 accounts manually and the issues i get are 1) some of the mail still doesnt get there 2) the email does not stay on the device..so as soon as it searched for new email again it d...

I would give my right leg to find out if this thing was going to be released with a camera. It would really simplify my life, and make this damn cellphone decision easy.

Where do I go to download ringtones and then if ya feel like telling me how to get them onto my phone....great!

There is nothing in the manual that I found re this.

Is there a site I can EVDO ringtones right to my ohone?

Considering switching from TMOBILE to VERIZON because I need internet access at all times and the speed on TMOBILE and what I saw from Verizon awile back was not good. Is this new SAMSUNG with the high speed broadband really faster?

I recently purchased a 1 GB storage card for my i730 only to discover that the active synch will not sync with documents/files stored on the storage card. As I reviewed the seemingly endless pages of the user manual, I found a short blurb stating that the storage card just serves as a backup to what is in the phone's main memory. Not being able to store my database and other files that require synchronization on the storage card seems insane. Am I missing something? Is this how any standard PDA would work? What gives?

trying to dock the i730 to the cradle is like trying to build a house with playing cards. You very carefully hold the phone as you place it in the cradle, you slowly release the phone after minutes analyzing whether the balance is perfect, and then you hold your breath as you watch the phone fall out of the cradle onto the table. You then repeat the process knowing that it can be done 1 out of 50 times.

please tell me it is my fault, and that I am doing something stupid. Don't tell me its a horrible design.

Does anyone have any tips for switching address book from a Kyocera 7135 (ugh!) to the Samsung i730. My problem is that in my Kyocera address book some name shave multiple phone numbers and they are transferring very smoothly. Any suggestions?
