Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

I could not find this answer in the forum. I had read where customers brought a class action suite against VZ because of what they did to the V710's BT capabilities. So I was wondering if VZ let the E815 alone? Anybody know? Thanks.

Anyone have any idea on how much the E815 will cost when it comes out? I'm looking to get the 710 or 815, but $ are an issue.

I just got the 710 and as a business user I'm really impressed with most of it but I am very disappointed with the inability to go to a larger font size or to go to a readable background on the external display (yes, I know it changes with Color themes, but they all still are unreadable).

Anyone know if the 815 will allow either?

(Also, any chance in the world it has an aluminum indestructible drop-it-all-you-want case like the amazing superhero V60 phones?)

I work for an indirect agent where we buy all our phones from Verizon Direct. The 710 cost just went from over 300 down to 170 a phone. 99% of the time this happens when they want to get rid of whats left on the shelves. Also means something else is likely to take its place. Like lets says the E815.....Or at least I hope

O and check www.verizonwireless.com the V710 has dropped price there to.

Anyone have a relatively firm date for the release of the e815...my new every two is coming up and the phone looks like it would be a good upgrade for me...just need to know how long I'm going to have to wait. I've heard 2nd qtr '05, but anything more definite than that would help me out...I'm foaming at the mouth for a new phone. 😕

A VZW employee on Hofo just confirmed today that the e815 is now in the Verizon inventory system. No release date is in the computers, but the fact that it's in there means it's not far off. Here's to hoping!

Does anybody know if the E815 is Bluetooth 1.1 or Bluetooth 1.2?

I talked to a verizon wireless representative yesterday who is my cousin and he said that this phone will come out at the end of may. It will be $200-$300 with a 2 year contract.

Will the E815 be out for US Cellular in the future? The v710 came out later and I am wondering if to buy the v710 or wait for the e815?

Will this phone be crippled too? (Bluetooth)

is this fone gonna have a CCD or CMOS display? Which woiuld be a better choice and why? e815 or vx-8100?? why?

Is there a macro mode capability on the camera? and 40mb.... how many photos is that equivelent to?

Wow this guy has one for sale with the Transflash transfer working and data cable. And a complete accessory pack...if only I had the money..look below people for this info...and I thnk a great deal to own b4 everyone else...

When comparing the Motorola E815 with the V710 in PhoneScoop it shows that the E815 is NOT a tri-mode phone but that the V710 is. Does anyone know if this information is correct? 😕

I just received a call from Verizon Executive Relations. This phone is not scheduled to be released until the Second Quarter of 2005. He stated specifically, the "June month". It is too bad these things take so long.

I bet this phone wont get the reception the v710 gets! And the v710 reception is awsome. I will take reception any day over vcast!

Man this will be funny, i wonder how many pages will be on this forum when people are still writing in da V710 forum and i'm sure most of ya'll knew how much of a dud dat phone was. so mann will ya'll slave over this one 2? It looks a lot betta den da V710 but motorola doesn't really have a good history of phones except for there nextel models. but its seems like they got this one right, but i'm sure if everybody knew this one was comin out they would had waited instead they r stuck wit da v710 but jus watch how many people fork dat ova jus to get this phone.
