My lil brother just bought me a Treo 650 for mother's day off Ebay for $255 and I'm ecstatic! Can't wait to get it! I was wondering how well the mp3 player works on it and how difficult it is to set up email and stuff. Mine will be through Cingular and I'm not real tech savy, but I really wanna get the most out of it. I just offered a great position and I think it'll be quite handy with my new job. It seems like a badass phone. If there's anyone who'd be willing to help me get it set up once it gets here, I'd be eternally grateful. 😁 Thanks.

I notice that the Palm says it supports Polyphonic ringtones, but mentions nothing of Music Tones (mp3, wav, whatever).

I am thinking about getting the Treo 650, but would like to know about this ahead of time.

If it doesn't, what can be done to remedy the problem? Software?

Also, does anyone know an ETA for the Treo 700 to Cingular? Is it worth waiting for?

Ive read so many complaints on treo call quality and locking up. Anyone know if the Nokia 6682 is a better option?

I have recently switched to a new Web hosting company for my company and receive my mail fine through Outlook. The problem is the emails are delayed for hours in receiving to my treo 650 through Cingular. I never expereinced this before with my old web hosting company.

Any ideas on why such a delay? Help?

I am considering buying this phone when it comes out for T-Mobile. Is the reception any good and how is the sound quality for phone calls?

If the Treo 650 doesn't cut it as a very good or excellent phone, I would rather invest in a phone that is of higher quality and get a separate PDA for my email/messaging needs.

Is there a third party software that will give me a search function for the Treo 650? I'm looking for a function that will act like the "find" or "search" function on Palm Pilots. It allows one to search memos and note data, instead of just the entry names.

While I"m at it, is there a software that will add the Graffiti boxes found on the Palm Pilot?

when I use the find feature w/desktop (ALT-E-F) I get a white window behind the dialog box. The window says something like "welcome to windows media center" That I don't mind, but it freezes the desktop for about 5 secs. Any suggestions?

Has anyone heard anything about a new Treo for Cingular? I want to know before I buy a 650.

What's with this phone? Reviewers love it or hate it. Generally someone who buys an advanced phone like the 650 is needs it for business and will take time to learn it and get it right. You don't drive a BMW and not get speeding tickets.

What is wrong with the phone. Are people trying to put 10 palm programs on at once?

Can I get Aol email "pushed" to a treo 650? If not, is there any software available which will "fetch" my email from AOL? (versamail, snappermail, chattermail, etc.???)

I'm at a point with Cingular where I can upgrade my phone. I would love to upgrade to a Treo 650, but given the rapidly changing marketplace, I'm concerned that I'll upgrade now, then see a Treo 700 out in 6 months, with no route to upgrade. I would appreciate opinions on just where the Treo 650 is in its product lifecycle. Thanks.

Can the Treo 650 be used with AOL mail? Is it as easy as POP mail accounts?

Here's some third party software that you cna download to your Treo 650 for Push Email. Each gives you a 30 day trial period to test and try out the software.

While Chatter Email allows you to use its full version for the trail period Snapper Mail does not. It's easy set up along with a manual in PDF format for you to download should you ahve any questions. The developer for Chatter MAil is always online in the forum and readily available to answer any questions that you may have.

Just purchased my Treo 650 and love it. I would like to know if I'm able to download music ringtones (i.e., I was able to do this with my Motorola V400 cell phone). Does anyone know how to do this? I don't like the ringtones that came with the unit.
