How Do ALL of these features WORK????? EXPLAIN!!!

How do you do all of this? I mean the videos on the phone? where do you save them to? and if you save them to the MiniSD then in what folder. AND how do you view them? I have a 512Mb card and I want to know how to do this stuff! AND Eric Lin or whatever his name that did the artcle said you can play MP3's as ringtones so long as you DO NOT save them in the media folder of the MiniSD.....So where do I save these MP#'s and HOW? are there any other great features I missed tell me ALL you can. I'd like to get as much use of my 465 dollar phone as I can I bought it for all the cool stuff and now I want to use it!!

Great phone but still needs a lot of improvement.

I own the MM-5600 and I really like the phone. It is the best phone I have owned and it is great for what I need it. I am extrememly dissapointed at the lack of a low light mode for pctures but the pictures during the day look great. No more me wishing I brought my digital camera with me because atleast with this phone I can take desent pictures. I absolutely love the media player. I have loaded many Simpsons, Family Guy and Will & Grace Episodes on my 512MB miniSD card and lots of MP3's which I encoded to a smaller AAC file to allow more storage however I wish that the MP3 player had some sort of a playlist feature and although you can fast-forward your songs and videos you cannot rewind without the clip or song going back to the beginning....

I know how to convert to mp4, BUT how do you upload to the phone w/o internet??

Okay so this whole not being able to use mp3s as ringtones is making me regret getting this phone. So, I've been reading the forums and I UNDERSTAND how to convert mp3s to mp4/aac. However, is there another way to get the mp4 on to your phone as your RINGTONE without using Focus through Sprintusers.com?? First of all, I don't have a text package so I get charged for Focus to text me. Secondly, I don't have internet package so I can't download the file in my text message anyway. SO - is there any way to transfer the mp4 from my computer on to the phone and/or miniSD and then set it as my ringtone? I keep trying to use the USB cable and here are my steps to try to get it to work:

-I save the mp4 under the 100SANYO folder in the DMIC f...

Downloading Podcasts on MM5600?

I may be getting this phone in the next couple months.

I am totally ignorant on Podcasts (I have no iPod either) but wanted to know if anyone ever downloaded any podcasts with this device? Is it iTune compatible??

What the heck is BitTorrent?

Any input would be great!

just got 5600 today, sendin in for replacement tomorrow morning

well i just got my 5600 today and was getting my phonebook and stuff set up,, while downloading a ringer, the phone said "post process, saving to phone" or sumthing like that, and then the phone screen just went blank and it shut down or something. it wont turn back on anymore, and the only way it will even try to start up is if u take the battery out and put it back in, but then after starting up for about 20 sec, it flashes a white screen and then blank again, doesnt respond at all. when i plug it in it doesnt charge.

I was jsut wondering if there was anyone else who had this problem, or if anyone had any idea what it could be.

Hate to agree with Mr. Box but this phone is overpriced

I examined phone yesterday and was very impressed. However I paid $199(before rebate) for my 8200. This phone is over twice the price!!!
I believe this phone is awesome feature wise but certainly not worth $429(before rebate)
I will buy phone when they drop price on it. I may even consider mm7400 if price on that drops.

any info on 5600 being recalled

I bought a 5600 the day it came out and now it already pulled from stores. Does anyone have any information on this. The rumor I have heard is that the FCC made the limit on the amount of radiation a phone could emit smaller and since the 5600 was at the old limit it is now technically CALLED THE TUMOR PHONE, TUMOR PHONE!!!!!!!!!!! If anyone can confirm this that would be awesome

Article Correction!

That article wasn't that impressive. Just reading through it once I noticed two important flaws in the author's description of the phone. First of all the author mentioned that the phone could only be turned up or down with the arrow keys on the side of the phone, this is not true. Secondly and most importantly, the author mentioned that the phone could not be synced with a PC, that is funny because the phone actually comes with a PC Sync cable.
Ironically the author had a column about the sound of the phone, but never mentioned the quality. The sound quality of the phone is excellent! If the author thinks it gets distorted on the highest volume, he/she has a defective device, or a poor ringtone file. There are also other things that ...

Nice review, but major ommission

I appreciate the in-depth review of the 5600, but how could you fail to mention the MP3 capability? I consider this to be a major selling point of the phone, as

1. It's the first non-pda MP3-capable Sprint phone since the Samsung Uproar, like 5+ years ago

2. For many, device consolidation is a serious consideration

3. Aside from the higher res screen & camera, MP3 & card storage is the major advantage between it the 7400. (Plus higher price and less durable body)

Protected music on miniSD

I use Itunes to download music. The files that are downloaded are mpeg 4. Itunes file protects the file. I cannot transfer these protected files to a miniSD. Is there a way to change the protected file so that it is not protected?

Trying to use as a cellular modem, erroring out...

In the past, I have gotten my Sanyo 8100, 8200, and 5500 all to connect to the internet through a laptop. Right now, my machine is running WinXP and recognizes the phone as a Sanyo USB Phone & PCS Connection manager detects the phone and waits at the "Disconnected" status, but when I click on "Go", almost immediately it errors out with "the remote computer did not respond." Would this be a driver issues or a software issue or what? Please help me!!!
