Audiovox 9200

🙂 🙂 New Audiovox 9200. This is great!!!!It is cute, small and compact. I prefer this phone over the 8910. I can't wait for it to come out. Does anybody know when this phone is coming out for verizon?

Outer call timer?

In the pic there is a call timer on the outer screen. Does anyone know if that means you can use the speaker with the flip closed or is that is just showing the call time of your previous call? Thanks.

8940 confirmed price

😲
Found this on phonearena.com
Verizon Wireless launches UTStarcom (formerly Audiovox Communications Corp.) 3G EV-DO handset – CDM-8940 - at the price of $229.99 after a $70 rebate with a two-year contract.
No word on a firm release date, but I am praying Feb. 1. I'm so happy about this phone!

One more time for the us idiots in the back!

Ok I have been looking throught the different threads in this forum and I know that this phone has a sd card.
I figure my question has already been answered but i have not found the answer so...

How does the SD card connect to your computer to download ringtone, pix,etc..

Can you transfer viruses to your through the SD card?
And is there anyway for Verizon to disable it somehow or criple it like they did Bluetooth on the Moto v710.

And finally, what is the final say on the memory for this SD card?

Thanks in advance for your answers and patience!!

mini SD card?

I've seen conflicting reports for the SD card slot on the left side of the phone. Is it mini SD or standard SD? With the size of the phone being pretty small (compared to the VX-8000), I assume it is the mini SD. Does anyone know for sure?
Also, any word on a release date. I believe it is currently in the trial stage by select users. With the VX-8000 and A890 due out the first week on February, I would hope the 8940 would be around this time also. I don't want to wait anymore!!

What happened to T-Mobile?

It seems as if LG and Samsung are dealing with Cingular and Sprint users' needs but not anyone affiliated with T-Mobile.

Am I wrong Rich Brome?

I would like to see a megapixel phone with video capture for T-Mobile.
Is there anything coming out like that for T-Mobile?

Thumb covering service provider logos on all LG pics!?

Rich,

Is it me, or does it appear like you're purposely covering up the service provider logos on all the pics of the LG phones? In all the pics, your thumb and index finger are right where the logos would be located. Just looking at the pics of the VX4700, your thumb is right where the Verizon logo would be and in the pics of the F9100, your thumb and index finger are covering the locations of the Cingular logos. I'm assuming that LG told you to do that before taking pictures but everyone already knows that the VX4700 is for Verizon and F9100 is for Cingular. The logos are also covered in the pics of the other LG models.

Where is the support?

I have been to many forums the past couple weeks, but this is by far the most barren of forums. You would think this phone isn't coming out anymore, to be honest I am leaning towards buying a S710 from cingular. But I think this phone is way better (at least on paper) than the VX8000. I compared the two phones on this site and the 8940 still beats it (yes still on paper) whats the deal. You would think the LG is the best new phone coming out by the forums. This forum hasn't had a new post in a week with me being the exception, is the phone delayed? Is it the media coverage with everyone talkin about the LG. IMO, if a phone has a megapixel camera it should come standard with a memory card so I can save more pics, there is nothing worse...

SGH-E865

Does anyone know when this phone will be available?
How much will it cost?

I am glad to see a Bletooth Samsung phone for T-Mobile.

The one major problem is the money problem.
T-Mobile has very expensive phones for example the Samsung P735 (the swivelling flip phone) costs $500!!!

The SGH-E865 will have Bluetooth and will record video longer.
Can I expect a price of $600?

Thanks.

Is Samsung going to come out with any Bluetooth phones?

In your detailed descriptions, Rich, it never states that any of the Samsung phones are going to have Bluetooth.

Is Bluetooth a risky technology that Samsung does not feel is important?

I mean Bluetooth isn't for everyone, but you would think that Samsung would have at least one phone that includes Bluetooth.

Thanks.
