the new phones of Vzn

Hi, Iā€™m checking yours reviews about the new phones of Vzn they are very helpful šŸ˜ but anyways, I want a nice phone not too big and with a speaker also and many features, so I still (in despite of the bad comments) may get a Moto 710 cause seems to be that is the only one that is going to let me have my own mp3 ringtones and pictures without the annoying "get it now" and without USB cables that may be difficult to use(how do I download MP3s to the LG800??). I really wanted the CDM8940 but seems to be that the mini SD is crippled and then almost useless right only for mp3s, no pictures, no ring tones at all??
Some ideas, some help guys is two years of agreement and more that 200 bucks moto 710, CDM8940 or the LG 8000. I want to know also if...

Calender or Schedule ? Please Help!

Is there any way to save the information on the calender after the date has pasted. ON my 710, I could go back on the calender and look at old dates and what was scheduled. Every time the date passes on this 8940, the information is gone. If thats the case then this calender function is just an alarm function only! AND SUCKS!

Call screening?

In the description of the phone in Phonescoop it says there is call screening. I've never had this before on a phone, and don't really understand it.
I did find the option for Auto Answer for varying amounts of time (Off, 5 secs, 10 secs, 18 secs)...but I can't seem to get the auto answer to work.
Anybody have an answer to this, and explain the call screening to me and how to use it?

After a day of use...

I got the 8000 but the thing is such a beast and im thinking about trading it for the 8940. I havea few questions for those of you who have had it for a few days.

How do your own pictures look as wallpapers?
?can you use .mid as ringtones?
does sliding the thing get annoying for the camera?
does the phone feel sturdy?
Is it easy to use?
How was the battery life?
Does the callers picture come up when they call?
Does the screen feel big enough?

This is a tough decision because once i trade in the 8000 theres no going back so your feedback is greatly appreciated!

MiniSD Misconception

Many people have a misconception of the memory card.

You can upload mp3s to the miniSD card and the phone will play those mp3s. I know because I have done it with the 8940 and the mp3 player is awesome--you can create a playlist too.

Picture ID on outside

Has ANYONE figured out how to get the picture ID to work on the outside of the phone yet?? this is a big deal to me and could be a deciding factor between the 8940 and VX8000 if audiovox (or UTStarcom) was idiotic enough to forget this feature similar to the time they forgot the ring AND vibe option on the CDM9900. Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to help!

When i thin audiovox, i think ::trashy speakerphone::

now all you people have to agree..... pretty much every single audiovox out there has a speakerphone thats just as loud as whispers. does the 8940 change that? exactly HOW loud does the speakerphone... louder than the 8900 and the 8910 im hoping. It would be tight if it went as loud as my LG vx6100

Txting is awesome on this phone

while your txting w/ t9 if you switch to abc to type in a word not in the t9 database the t9 database will automatically pick up that word! That is amazing, I was using t9 and I typed the word F**ck without switching to abc and without entering that word in the database manually.

The person who gave this phone a low review needs to be slapped. No pros? Are you kidding? I have never used a handsfree headset w/ two speakers, its always one. This phone comes with both to listen to mp3s and watch clips.

Can't zoom high resolution

I've found out that you cannot zoom in/out at these resolutions: 768x1024 and 960x1280. Anything lower than this you can zoom in/out at 2x (should be more zoom options by the way).
480x640 is the best quality at a 2x zoom you can get.
Anyone know why this is? Is it impossible due to the technical contstraints of the CMOS sensor, or is it a malfunction of the phone?(similar to the LG 8000 not saving at high res.)
