Sony Ericsson S710a

When I use to make a call to the 2nd party, I was able to see whether they were already on the phone. Unfortunately, that function somehow does not work anymore and the manual says nothing about it.

Is this a system problem?

i live in cali and im going to the phillipines pretty soon...im wondering if it will work over there or if ill have to unlock it so it will work..anyone?

I ahve an S700I and i would I tried to change the face on the phone and it did not work out at all. I have a new Case and i wanted to know if anyone can recommend a website where they would be able to INSTALL this new housing.

i just went to look at these today, but i still cant decide. the extra memory the s710a can hold doesn't matter since memroy duo sticks can only hold 128mb anyways and the w600i already has 256mb. the w600i screen isnt THAT much small to the s710a, and the w600i isnt that much smaller in siz as the s710a either.

really this comes down to which has a better camera and faster OS. anyone would like to give me some advice?

I don't even own an s710a, but I am looking to buy one soon from Ebay or Craigslist. I am a complete cell phone junkie and enjoy researching phones when I have nothing really to do (I'm not as weird as I sound). Anyway, I had a couple of questions regarding the SE s710a that some of the other owners out there may just know.

First... Does the s710's LED flash actually "flash", or does it just turn on before the picture and then off afterward??? I'm not really picky about which it does, but I'd just rather know before I get it.

Second... What does the lock/light switch do? I know it locks the keypad, but what does the light part do? Does it turn on the LED so it can double as a flashlight? Please help.

hey ya'll ~ ive had the 710 since it first came out but had to get a replacement since it had some glitches in it...then the replacement phone wouldnt work AT ALL so im on my 3rd 710. craazzy. anyway ~ i was wondering if you knew any websites to get good quality ring tones for free? ive been buying them off cingulars ringtones but they are adding up$. any ideas? happy holidays 😁

i had a person who has this phone ask me are the only games available for this phone in 3d are the ones on media net?

i'm not sure i told him, but i am assuming there are 3rd party vendors or even the se website that can offer 3d games for free or at a cost.

What is synch exactly? I have read that some people can get the internet off of their phone with Bluetooth. But the manual makes it sound completely different. I thought since I have a Sony Vaio laptop and I have a SONY Ericsson cell phone that something like this would be easier to figure out but I guess not ☹️ ! If it is true that I can get connected to the internet through my phone, what are the steps to do this knowing I have a Sony laptop? OH! And when I'm downloading any sort of media file from the net to my laptop, and then from my comp to the memory stick, how do I retrieve it from the phone?

my Aim does not work right now cuz it is cingular unlocked on T-mobile does anyone know a 3rd party clinet that could allow me to use AIM? Thanks

I have just unlocked my S710a and I am using my t-mobile sim card and I cant get my Aim to work. Any one know. I putt the setting in T-mobile for my aim program but it will not let me go online with it PLease Help!

I was traveling for the holidays, and the attendant told me to turn my phone on game mode or airplane mode. Does the s710a have a mode like this, i know that it ignores the sim card and just uses its features, is this possible?

Does anyone know of a gamepad accessory for the s710? I saw a nice bluetooth pad but it doesn't list this phone as compatible. With all the games you can get for it, many are too complex to use the little pad effectively.

I have an s710a and ans s700i my chatboad will type the fist letter lower case then the rest in upper case and will not type numbers at all, can anyone make anysugestions? perhaps another version of the keyboard? Thanks

I decided to upgrade to this great phone but learned it's not available from Cingular directly any more because it's been discontinued. What is replacing it and more importantly, when? Anyone heard anything?

It seems made for this phone! WAY COOL
probably uses a lot of streaming data so DON"T try unless you have a good internet plan.
BUT man is it cool
