External Caller ID

Okay, LOVE this phone, but having a problem with the external caller ID. It is supposed to have picture caller ID on the exterior, but my picture doesn't show up until after the call goes to voicemail. Does anyone know if there's something I need to do to make this work properly? I tried calling T-Mobile, who told me to call Sharp, who told me they do not handle support for this phone & that I should call T-Mobile. T-Mobile had no idea that it even HAD an external caller ID, so they're useless in this area.
PLEASE HELP!

Other than that....great phone!

ringtones

Can you e-mail mp3's from your computer to your phone and use them as a ringer? If so, then how can you do that?
Thank You

Finally, high quality pictures from a camera phone.

Believe it or not, Sharp camera phones have outstanding image quality. Hopefully, this will raise the bar and other manufacturers will take notice that we don't just want higher image resolution (just bigger crappy pictures), but really high quality pictures from a camera phone.

Some leather cases get in the way of the camera!

Seen 3 cases available so far:

#1 The one I got for a couple bucks on ebay, has a hole cut out for the camera that when you have it "opened” to take pictures, bunches up by the top by the antenna like most flip phones do, thus getting in the way of the lens! You’re stuck holding the case down to the phone while you take pics.
#2 I’ve seen one with a clear front that might not get in the way, but will have a piece of protective plastic between the cam and whatever your taking a pic of. It would keep your lens out of harms way, but I’m not sure of the lighting effect the clear plastic would have on the pics.
#3 Then I've seen another one where it has a hole cut out, and a strap that goes over the antenna. Which might hold the case down...

Cluefree

😕 Let me preface this by saying that I am pretty close to being computer illiterate.

Now having said that, how can I upload pictures onto the memory card & put them into my phone? Also, visa versa?

So far, I LOVE this phone. It's my first camera phone, but it seems to be fairly easy to get used to. I'm still trying to figure everything out as far as how to get around on it. It's a little harder than my samsung was in that sense.

If anyone has any advice as far as shorcuts or anything else that will make my life easier (see preface above 😉 ) I would greatly appreciate it!

How to shut off the camera sound? Speaker is pointless.

Anyone figure out how to shut off the camera sounds?
How about a detailed instruction page on taking out the speaker. You don't even need it, considering no speaker phone. Pretty pointless since I leave it on vibrate for calls anyways.

Call Timers

One feature that I absolutely love is being able to see my call time for a couple of seconds after closing the phone and hanging up from a call. My Moto v300 did not do this and I was wondering if the Sharp TM 150 will flash the call time on the enternal screen for a few moments. Thanks

USB Cable software??? Can U use tm200's free software 4 the 150?

Ok, the Tm150 site at sharp looks like they barely started building it. Check out their page at: http://212.103.248.44/sharp-mobile/tm/
They have software you can download for the TM200 but no support at all for the TM150. You get a under construction when you click on downloads, but the tm200 downloads has all kinds of features. I just got this phone and was wondering if it's necessary to fork over 50 bucks for the software on ebay, or just buy the cable and download the tm200's software.

Does anyone have any experience with the cable?
Can it be done just as well with a data card reader?
Is it necessary to have to type in all your contacts or can you upload data from your PDA software.

The reader is cheap, the cable is cheap, bu...

Active Flip

Someone posted in their review that there was no Active Flip feature. The only option was to open the phone and press "talk". Is this True? I just ordered the phone and if this is true I will be a little dissapointed. Thanks

Impression after 2 weeks

Here is what I figured out after having this phone for 2 weeks.

RF: Very good. Not NOKIA good, but very good. Reception was usually better than Samsung and definitly better than Motorola.

Camera: Very Good picture quality. I printed up 15 or so prints at Wal-Mart and would frame about 5 of them. The others were just a little to unfocused. (this camera is VERY sensitive to movement from the subject). MMC card can hold PLENTY of pictures. Card is very useful.

Active Flip issue: As it was stated in this forum already there are 2 seperate software versions you will get. One will allow you to answer the phone by simply flipping it open. The other won't (ENDLESSLY FRUSTRATING). Finding this information out can be difficult and it leads di...

Can it handle 1GB Memory? Why does it only say up to 512?

I've read other forums on this that there will be trials on the 1GB. People say they've gotten the 1gb to work on other phones that only say up to 512. So please let me know if you get a 1GB to work. Thanks.
