samsung i730 & SprintPCS

Sprint sux!!!! when it comes to offering PDA choices. It has only one with PocketPC that is, Audiovox!

Does anybody from Sprint beta team, talk about upcoming PocketPC phones? Also when and if they consider i730 phones?

When is EVDO coming to Detroit?

Thanks,

Audiovox 6600/6601 - Any further update?

There have been quite a few issues with the Audiovox XV6600/6601 models. Does anyone know if there is any update for these issues? Or if a better model is coming up?

calculator

The calculator function on this unit is a standard algebraic style. Is there a RPN (reverse polish notation) calculator out there somewhere? No wise cracks please

Caller ID not working - is there a fix?

I have MS Voice Command software, and the call id is working with that program. I can also see who's calling AFTER I've answered the phone, and of course in the proper call log.

However, when the phone rings, the balloon always shows "unknown". Is there a software fix for this? Has anyone else had this problem?

PDA Phone vs Regular phone! HELP!?!?

I was interested in this phone or the treo650. I currently have a samsung E-715. I am mainly going to use the phone for textmessaging, pics, and normal phone usage. I've never had a pda or a pda phone but I love computers and the thought of having a pda phone but i fear the bulky size/weight, awkwardness when making a call and dialing!

please help! thanks

Latest VZW Pricing $399 2 yr Agmt

I'm surprised that no one picked up on the latest VZW pricing in this forum.

VZW has reduced the price of the phone from $549 to $399 (with a 2 year agreement). It's not reflected on their web site yet, but if you go to one of their stores, they can look it up on the internal pricing matrix.

I just bought one yesterday at the $399 price.

I'm also curious to see if any of you are offered the 660 at $349. Someone in another forum made that claim, but my VZW store said the price is $399.

ActiveSync Via Bluetooth.... Anyone else having trouble????

😕 Okay, I do have to say that overall this is a pretty awesome phone... I put just about every feature to use and have gotten to know the phone pretty well. From making my own audio/mp3 quality ringers and screen savers to assigning picture ids. I even made my non-bluetooth desktop bluetooth compatible.. I have been able to connect to my pc via my phone and pull, change and delete or create files on my desktop which we all know that we can do. But I'm still having trouble getting my device to ActiveSync via the bluetooth. I know it can do it but I just can't get it. I have the PPC-6600 from Sprint and thier Techs say that they do not support Bluetooth support, I contacted Lynksys (Computer bluetooth adapter) and I knew more than they did, ...

College Student's Buyers Guide

Background - I'm a college student. Before owning the 6600, I carried a Sanyo 8100, Palm m515 and Olympus Camedia D-380 (which later became the Sony DSC-T1, but that's not really relevant b/c no current picture-phone is 5MP). Seeing that the newer phones had the quality of my old olympus, I thought to consolidate my devices.

Size/Weight - It's a PDA phone, get over the size. If it was smaller, then it wouldn't be an effective PDA phone...now would it? I was surprised at the size, since the last time I checked out PDA phones was probably 2001 and *those* were clunky.

Screen - The screen is excellent. The brightness and resolution are perfect. You can even snip the default plastic to work as a protector (college student here, spending mo...

I am waiting for the camera version to be available, but wondered: if you are browsing with this PDA phone on the Internet, do you receive any kind of alert that someone is calling you, or can you answer the call?

USB question

Does anyone know if you can use the USB port for access to a data stick. I carry one around with various files and things on it and was wondering if this USB port is capable of allowing me to access it as a drive like I do on my PC. Thanks in advance.

Can Outlook express be used instead of regular Outlook?

I just purchased the Harrier and I was wondering if there is a pocket version of Outlook Express or does anyone know how to export all your information from Outlook Express to Outlook 2002 without loosing any information ie: contacts, notes, schedule?

Setting up DUN

I have attempted several times to set up DUN so my laptop can access the Internet using a Bluetooth connection with the 6600 with no success. The phone will recognize the PC's request and I acknowledge the access, but it never connects through.

Can anyone offer suggestions or a link to specific instructions? I am using VZW

Orange SPV M2000 PDA

Orange SPV M2000 PDA looks very similar to the Audiovox. I wonder if it is the same phone. It has 802.11b built in, nice.
