Nitpicking time

The U11 will hardly work in Beijing without bands 38-40. This is my life, nitpicking on such insignificant matters.

I would have included the new Oneplus 5 simply for the amount of LTE band capability. Or more dual-sim phones.

Thks Eric for the write-up.

iRig Mic HD with Android?

Have you tried the iRig Mic HD with a microUSB cable to connect to Android phones with USB OTG? It should work on phones and tablets with USB audio. Just something to try if you have the proper Micro USB to Micro USB cable or use the USB cable with an OTG adapter.

edit: There is an iRig Mic HD-A which has the USB OTG cable included as well as Android software.

5 Best Unlocked Smartphones

I would have included the ZTE Axon 7 premium edition.
Gives the One Plus a true run for its money.

Galaxy S7

I would have also included the Galaxy S7 unlocked variant (i.e., the "U" variant). A little expensive but is one of the best unlocked phones there is.

Great write up Eric - one addition

The Oneplus 3T can accept dual SIMs. That is a HUGE plus for a world traveler such as me. One tray holds my world roamer SIM (Truphone or Piranha) and leaves the other for any in-country SIMs that might be a better value. Or you can use two SIMs with different preferred roaming lists - like Piranha and Truphone. Anyway it's a convenience I would not want to travel without.

Whoo Hoo!

This is great news for the 7 people who can get enough Sprint signal to make it work. I'm not one of them.

Apple iPhone 7 plus Craze in Pakistan

Do you people know that in Pakistan people are also quite crazy about iPhones? And with the recent launch of iPhone 7 - 7 Plus the craze level is even higher.

I would like to share you with some updates on this.

Online Orders Will NOT Arrive Before Christmas!

If Apple's website is to be believed, ship times are at 4 weeks as of today (12/13/2106).

Audio

Short note: the speakers on the phone work well but the voice quality is not as sharp and clear as the 6 series. It's close but not quite as good. Face time is also a little less clear. The person we were talking to said it didn't sound as good as the 6, side by side. Audio in the earpiece also did not sound quite as good. Is it good enough? Still working on that one.

Wow

These forced updates on a nearly weekly basis is out of hand. I have an iPod and iPad and I cringe every time I see the notification. My android updates maybe once or twice a year.

If you're going to put it in a case....

Why does it matter what color you get in the first place? The lunacy of Apple fanaticism knows no bounds. The myriad of design problems Apple tries to solve by offering its customers a case also knows no bounds.

One step to solve this issue.

There is one thing EVERY iDevice owner should have.

Two words

OTTERBOX DEFENDER!!!

Why? iPhones, iPads & iPods are not cheap devices. A OtterBox is a tough case to protect what has become a popular albeit delicate piece of computing hardware.

Phone Builds

As to "all metal" builds .. I am a fan of "plastic" builds. Fact is, they aren't plastic, but rather polymer et all. I know two people who have metal builds, and they prefer their prior plastic. One had a Moto Pure with a sort of rubberycoated back .. She loved it .
Hates her Samsung S? metal. I am tired of these blog idiots who talk about metal as if it were synonymous with quality.

Protruding camera

Wish they would just make the battery 1-2mm deeper and make the stupid camera flush with the case. Does anyone really need their phone to be as thin as a cracker?
