Sony Ericsson Z500

Ok so I am getting a Moto v551, but I like the design of the Z500a much better. There's one thing thats standing in my way of selling my v551 and getting the z500a... Bluetooth! I just can't decide! I have a t616 right now and RAREly if ever use the bluetooth, but I was thinking about investing in a wireless headset. Is the color external Display worth it? Plus the 3d gaming capabilities? Only time I ever used BT was whe playing mini golf or sending themes, ringtones, etc back and forth on my 616.... HELP ME DEICIDE 🙄

ok, i dont understand all this walkie-talkie stuff. Like if i got this phone, and my friend had a Nextel phone, could we use the walkie-talkie thing, or is it only for other people who have this phone? iam so confused...

Just wondering which you all thing is the best phone, the z500, Nokia 6230 and Motorola MPx220... On the surface, it seems that the mpx220 would be the best, however after reading user reviews, it appears that it has a volume issue, and I *need* a loud phone. I know the Nokia 6230 is bar style, but it has all the features I'm looking for and with great reviews. I have the 6200 and LOVE the quality... I just HATE the bar style.

On a side note, does anyone know how much video the z500 can capture? The Nokia can do up to 4min from what I understand. Thanks!!

This phone is available from Amazon.com in a presale with a $200 rebate from AT&T and a $100 rebate from Amazon (you make something like $125 with your purchase with a plan). Last I heard it was available through Cingular? There is even an add in this month's "Lucky" magazine for the phone showing the z500 saying 'the phone shown is available exclusively from Cingular'.. Hmm.. 😕

I'm anxiously awaiting this phone. I've seen the release date pushed back several times and am wondering if it will in fact come out on Oct. 29th.

I haven't heard anything else, but my Cingular rep has told me next month, as in November. (Not that they actually know anything... 😉 )

I was taking a look at the memory availible on this phone and it says 6mb without expansion slot...is this correct? because if it is expect to only have 3-4 mp3's at a time and thats if you have no video or images saved

that T-Mobile may activate PTT, then Z500i may be available

I posted the question "what is edge" earlier, so now I know its basically a fast way to transfer data.....ok thats nice, but how do you use it? My previous sony ericsson phone had bluetooth and I was able to transfer the entire address book in a minute. With edge can I hook up a USB cable or something to do transfer files or do I have to do it some other way. I don't want to spend a lot of money on using the internet on my cell phone! 😉

Hey, does anyone know whether or not this phone has been released? At the SE site it no longer says "Coming Soon" and in it's mini site it says you can buy it now from Cingular. Just wondering if any one has any new info! THX! 😁

i see that all the new phones even like the t637 have aol instant messenger installed but i have not seen it for the z500 do u know if it will have it >??

The tentative pricing is $149.99 after instant $70 new activation credit and $50 mail in. I did not see a release date. 😕
