Themes/Ringtones?

aight so, i just picked up this phone today, and i'm totally in love..

i have just a few questions.. i'm with cingular and i'm wondering how to get rid of some of the annoying options on the main menu? cingular has two buttons wasted for their online junk, which would be much more useful for something like a quicker way to get to the my shortcuts list (and not just the first one by pushing left on the "joystick" as they call it)..

another question, is there a way to download themes and ringtones from sonyericsson.com other than via WAP? i.e. bluetooth?

Blurry Pics

I get really blurry pics with my new SE T637.

Go to http://www.moblog.co.uk/blog/davekropf to see what my pics end up looking like. Do I have a bad phone or is this normal? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for any help!

How can I make a midi file?

I have a CD and I want to copy a small part of one song as a midi file to use as a ringtone on my T637. I have the file in .wav form. How do I convert it to .midi form?

SIM Card Constantly Dislodging

For whatever reason, the SIM card in my T637 keeps popping out. The cradle that holds the SIM card is very poorly designed, with only a millimeter or so of a small metal tab holding it in. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Can anyone provide a solution? Thank you.

speaker phone?

I just ordered the t637 does anyone know if it has a speaker phone I haven't found anywhere ware it says it does but i have the t237 and it does have speaker phone on it. they seem a lot alike but the t637 being a better phone i would think that it would still have the speaker phone feature on it. on my t237 i have to wait till my call connects then hit the c key then it says turnonspeaker and then i have to select the OK key twice. if any one knows please let me know... thanks

Battery life... bad?

From what I can tell from PhoneScoop's search - and I'm new here, so maybe I'm misunderstanding -, but from what I can tell, this phone has some of the longest battery life, yet 2 of the user-reviews complain it's too short!
What's up with that?

A more important question:
Are the battery life numbers reported here on PhoneScoop what the maker reports or are these numbers that PhoneScoop's generated themselves?

How does T637 sync with your PC?

In the AT&T store today, display said the Nokia Bluetooth phones synced with Outlook but the Sony Ericsson T637 and the Motorola V505 did NOT. I was surprised. Does this phone not have the capability to sync with your e-mail/calendar?

Is T637 64K SIM Compatible?

I am thinking of getting T637 via ATT, but I read on several places that current cellphones will be replaced with "64K SIM" compatible phone due to ATT and Cingular merge.

I am not smart enough to understand this, but it worries me about me getting this phone and have to replace in a few month. ☚ī¸

Anyone with insights?

Thank you in advance.

change title

How do I change the title on the main screen? Usually you'll see your service provider name, or SonyEricsson. Is there a way to change this name? thanks

Should I get a T637

I've narrowed my search down to this or the Nokia 6200 for use on AT&T's GSM network (I've decided to go GSM for many reasons). I've been a Nokia phone user for a long time now and they work well but they're pretty boring. If the Nokia had Bluetooth it would be more compelling (I guess the 6230 will, whenever it comes out here).

I like the features of the SE T637 and a buddy swears by his T616 (also a former longtime Nokia user). On the other hand, I've read about echos/background noise and poor battery life, and this must first and foremost be a quality telephone. The other question I have is are there good belt clip solutions for this phone?

Phonebook?

Is there an easy to use program where you can enter your phonebook contacts from the PC using an infra-red connection? God I miss a software like the Nokia Phone Editor.... it was so easy, why can't Sony Ericsson have some easy software like Nokia PC Suite....

Basic Software....

Is there anyway to transfer your own midi files into the My Sounds directory of T637 with anyone of the basic software that came bundled with the phone? I know you can transfer midi files into your phone on a MMS message, but you can't extract the sounds to put into your My Sounds directory.... I need to find an easy way to transfer my midi ringtones into my T637. Oh yeah, I only have infra red to transfer files from my laptop.... 😕
